[Stavenhagen] A.J. Hinch postgame: “I don’t worry about Colt. I think Colt is a really good player. Obviously he wants to be doing everything perfectly, and right now things aren’t perfect for him. But it doesn’t change my belief in him or where he fits in the batting order or on this team.”

  1. Hinch just like me fr, I have zero worries about Colt and he’s one of our best players, he’ll be just fine

Looks like Colt haters are still out and about 😂

  2. I worry more about his body language, he doesn’t want the ball hit to him. He’s playing scared.

  3. 12 walks in 12 games. Dude just needs to not think as much on defense, and just get a lucky swing. Its way, way early still and he’s still finding ways to get on base.

  4. Good player, early slump. Happened last year. He’ll figure it out. Go tigers.

  5. He’s 23 years old, playing in the MLB, and has a great eye at the plate.

Chill out, ya’ll. He’ll be fine.

I worry more about Sweeney, honestly.

  6. let’s also all remember that his walk rate is incredibly high for such a young player, he’s struggling on defence and it’s really feeling like a case of the yips. his power is probably my main concern going forward but if he can have decent pop, walk as much as he is, and get things going on D (which i have every reason to believe he will do all these things) he’ll be juuuust fine. nice to see hinch have so much faith

  7. Just looks like he’s in his own head and paranoid. Bobbling routine grounders. He’ll figure it out though, way too early to be having these conversations.

  8. Let’s get behind our boy guys

Remember if Torkelson and Mize have taught us anything it’s that when you have talent and Top 100 prospect Pedigree that doesn’t just suddenly go away

  9. The 1 year Torres deal, and Tork’s resurrection gives them an opportunity to figure it out. Send him down for a while, let him work on whatever. He’s part of the long-term plan, and can move back to 2nd next season if Tork stays consistent.
