Dallas Stars Prepare for “BIGGEST Game of the Year” against Winnipeg: Can they bounce back??
On today’s episode of Locked On Stars, Joey Erickson is fired up for the Dallas Stars vs Winnipeg Jets game in what Pete DeBoer called the biggest game of the year. If the Stars want any chance of winning the Central Division they will have to find a way to win tonight. In the first segment Joey shares a graph of the Stars expected goal differential throughout the season and how it has decreased since the injury to Miro Heiskanen. Some recent Stanley Cup winners also saw a dip late in the season so can this be a good omen for Dallas? In the following segment, we preview the game tonight including some updates on Jets injuries to Ehlers and Vilardi who missed their last game. The Jets can clinch the division, #1 seed and home ice throughout with a win so the Stars are in deep doo-doo. Not enough time after that historical embarrassment to have near enough to beat the Jets. They're coming off the longest losing stretch of the season punctuated by the monumental collapse and at the worst time of the year when true cup contenders are kicking ass and taking names while fine tuning their game for the second season. I feel next year and beyond will be their opportunity. This defense is simply atrocious and irreparable at this time.
Best teams in the last 25 games? Dallas number 2, Colorado number 4. You gotta chill dude. This doom and gloom shit is getting old.
