So when is this offense gonna turn it on?
Or are we getting Embiid-ed and we’ve peaked and old man time is catching up with us. Outside of Schwarber (and Sosa!!) everyone else looks anemic at the plate.
Fellas let’s simmer down. Please
Do better please
Didn’t think this team had any chance at winning tonight. Rain delay game going 11 innings until 1 AM and then having to travel to St Louis the very next day was never going to work. We still win the series probably.
That was brutal to listen to live. Like my god it was like a little league team swinging like idiots.
Not dooming but if it doesn’t happen this year I wonder what next year’s team looks like…. Nola, wheeler, Sanchez, Harper, turner?

If these past few games have told us anything it’s that if the team makes the playoffs then their reason for getting eliminated the past few seasons is very much alive and well, despite it taking a vacation for a bit for the first 6 or so games. Still up there swinging at everything. News flash, offense, the book is out on that and teams have figured out they don’t need to throw you strikes or good pitches that you can make any kind of meaningful contact on.
Saw this coming with them landing at St Louis sometime around 2 am. Get some sleep boys
WHAT A SHITLOAD OF FUCK
THIS TEAM IS JUST FUCKING HORRIBLE
I WOULD RATHER EAT SHIT FROM A HIPPOPOTAMUS’S ASS THAN WATCH THIS TEAM
I WOULD RATHER PLAY DR JECKLE AND MR HYDE THAN WATCH THIS TEAM

“this year is gonna be different”

Guess the Phillie (you may be surprised)
feels like Nola pitches a 1 run game if he had even like 1 run of support. he was clearly trying to avoid the big hit, can’t blame this loss on him. the bats weren’t there but for now i’m going to blame that on the previous night in Atlanta. press on.
Fuck the braves
Nola hasn’t been an elite pitcher for years.
This place is fucking miserable man
I mean. Our guys probably were running on 4 hours of sleep… right?
Looks like we got shut out in “the Lou” on April 9th last year. New Tradition?
It doesn’t matter how good Stott is playing, he always has a poor game immediately after being placed in the lead off spot.
Out of all the batting order slots where he has had at least 220 ABs, the leadoff spot is where he has his lowest career OPS (.623)
It makes too much sense for him to be there, he just has to stop sucking when he’s put there.
I only looked through this one right at the end but idk, Pitchers good, hitters bad. Like all of them. Not gonna even bother putting blame on a particular guy. They all stunk. Get some sleep dudes try to hit the damned baseball tomorrow.
Poor Nols, buddy can’t buy a win.
How some of yall last a 162 game season is beyond me
I’m also just going to put it out there that the Chief Vibes Officer and his merry band of Piggies have won 8 in a row.
Offense much?…
Look, if they want to keep Kevin Long here for the season that’s fine, but at least bring in another hitting coach to advise as an extra voice or something.
i will also hit where I am in the lineup to the best of my abilities.
on the bright side I’m on episode 4 of prehistoric planet and I couldn’t ask for a better show to fall asleep to u/NintenJew
I’m gonna start watching that Red Sox documentary tomorrow, been hearing good things about it
The good news is the sixers only play one more game
Hopefully they get some rest and get some hits tomorrow. Tough night.
Easily the worst phillies game i have seen since last years NLDS
On the bright side the bullpen looked good and im gonna watch the season finale of the pitt tonight
I don’t want to hear about sleep. These guys are in-shape 25-30yr olds .. got in at 5am, game starts at 8pm. 5am -> 1pm is 8hrs.
Was just an off night.
Bohm’s BAbip is .200, and Marsh’s is .158
Surely it’s gotta turn around eventually
Garbage.
BOOOOOOOORING….
The urge to buy more Phillies hats I don’t need
If you extrapolate this current losing streak I think they blow it up by the end of April at this rate, unfortunately
This window was fun while it lasted. Harper in Yankees uni by May. Wheeler to the Mariners for some reason by June.
Woof
That was a game….
I guess?

I like, reallyyyyyy wanna go to the ballpark store and get this
Yankees lost tonight with a total of 2 hits.
Losing tonight wasn’t necessarily surprising since a bunch of neurotic, routine-based sickos got their routines interrupted.
I will never understand how Tommy Edman joins the Dodgers and all of the sudden becomes an all star caliber player.
This Phillies team at this time, just like last year, are simply not good enough offensively. Can’t put the ball in play to advance runners when they have to.
I see Marsh got a BB. Progress.
The bats will wake up.. it’s early. we’re at .615 and that’s a positive!
Past couple games did suck and we as fans feel like shit, but s’all good.
Didn’t take long to go back to the inept offense I can’t stand watching.
Topper will be fired in the offseason
The Phillies have an obp of .355 (the best in baseball), which means we should be scoring runs out our asses and winning games by 20. Of course, you can point to Harper’s walks, clemens or Rojas skewing the data, and inopportune pitching mistakes, but that doesn’t change the fact that this team is getting on base at an elite rate. I hate to bring moneyball into this, but to win games, you need to get on base, which we are. It’s just a matter of time before the pieces fall into place and this team starts to roll.
With a sample size this small (13 games out of 162), we can assume that some players will underperform (bohm and marsh) their actual ability, and others (schwarber) will overperform. We are about 8% into the season, so don’t believe anyone who wants to extrapolate stats that barely matter to draw conclusions that won’t fix anything. I know we’re not a very patient fan base, but there are 149 games of baseball, more than 1,300 innings left, before the postseason even starts.
I know being a doomer is easy, and often popular, but a 2-0 loss against a team that isn’t even in our division in the middle of April means next to nothing. 157-5 is still possible, go phils.
should have signed an actual power bat
