CUBS POSTCAST: The Chicago Cubs and Michael Busch absolutely CRUSHED the Los Angeles Dodgers

The Chicago Cubs crushed the Los Angeles Dodgers and handed them their first loss at home this season. Michael Busch went 3 for 5 and nearly had a grand slam, Kyle Tucker continues to dominate, Ben Brown shoved and the only negative out of this game is that Seiya Suzuki left the game early and is dealing with wrist pain.

  1. What makes it so sweet is that Michael Busch was their #1 prospect at one point 😂 PCA looks bad right now 😢 but Kelly doesn’t! …Amaya doesn’t! Ben Brown looked like he was pitching with a purpose, Tucker’s presence is what is giving guys good ABs before him and then you even have guys with a high contact rating to pick up the pieces, I’m no expert but this thing could work folks-STOP! …let’s Fly it again tomorroW! Go Cubs! Edit

  2. Pete’s issue seems to be pitch recognition. Probably just has to play through it and learn from some hard experience. Still better than early last year, but not where he needs to be at all as yet. As for Workman, just happy to see him have some success, and hope it will let him relax just a bit (regardless of who he got the hits off of).

  3. I love the HOPE baseball brings each year. And this seems like one of those years we will hold onto that Hope longer as the wins keep coming with great team baseball.
This is one of the best cubs lineups in a while and our baserunning is impressive with tagging and advancing runners, and 26/27 in stolen bases so far.

Starting pitchers have been great with Boyd fitting in and Taillon stepping up. And perhaps, the bullpen is getting more consistent too.

And this is all against the West and we are not only playing with them, we are winning series.

  4. I like to wait the lineup is right now Ian Happ here get a hit or not, but it takes space for walks behind him King Tuck. The way the lineup is 90% of a chance Happ is on 1st. So Kyle Tucker opportunity to bring the runner in behind him Suzuki, the best hitter in Cubs the past four years what I see man run a second and first no outs pitching to somebody not aggressive but for runners on has no choice to pitch and that’s when Suzuki let’s loose

  5. I understand your take but baseball is so hard and averages get ruined by weird outs and what not I like that your team earns a little stat padding, helps beef up the averages 😅

  6. This should put to rest Michael Busch had a lucky year last year and will come back down to earth this year. He looks like a linebacker now and will drive more baseballs out of the park. Don't hear many saying we need a first baseman anymore. The solution has been found. Busch has it locked down for the foreseeable future.
