How do you see the offseason going JD? I know we talk about getting a 2C and beefing up the D but does that hurt some of the other players development. Wennberg will be pushed down to 3C and what happens from there with guys like Ostapchuk and Bystedt are they only expected to get an opportunity if an injury occurs or at 4C?
So no more Tanking for the number 1 Pick
Fun and frisky? Sounds like a side piece. How about just say competitive.
I wonder if Pohlkamp gets an NHL spot to end the year

I see what you did there JD 😂
This team is so fun to watch. The vibes have been high and cant wait to see what GMMG does this summer. Is Marner a realistic possibility? Wouldn't mind Ekblad or Provorov as a top D FA. Or even a fun signing like Burns just to bring him back home.
Love the videos, thank you JD!
Zetterlund hasn't exactly looked good himself
I honestly miss my Fun and Frisky years!!
As to the defense. The Sharks have six defensemen signed for next season (Muk, Ferraro, Thrun, Pickles, Liljegren and Desharnais). This will decrease the Sharks ability to make any significant changes unless they move a player or two.
My preference would be to move on from Desharnais to begin with. Pickles would be their seventh defenseman. I would not mind Pickles retiring but that means another 7 million they would need to spend (perish the thought! lol).
Also, Muk is most likely the only defenseman that will continue to improve in any real significant way so an internal improvement on the defense is not likely.
Additions will be required to move this team squarely into the next phase of the rebuild even with the improvements that will come from players already on the team.
I think (as we all do) that the additions should first be centered on the defense. I am hoping that GMMG can find two middle pair RDs as I believe that Muk, Thrun, Ferraro, and Pickles already fill out the left side of the defense pretty well. Although I would take any two middle pair or better defensemen.
Obviously a 1B goalie for Askarov and a couple forwards. The top forward priority would be a second line center, followed by one middle six LW and a bottom six (or two) RWs.
This may mean moving on from a winger or two but I believe adding more talented players to fill holes might not be good enough. IMO, they should move a couple players and replace them with more talented players.
Just some thoughts.
I’d be okay with singing granlund again
I don't know if you have made a video about this yet, but I would love to hear the ideal Semi-Final match-up for the Sharks because several trades have contingency draft picks- such as the Avalanche and Stars.
