  7. About time this happened. He’s been a fraud since day one. But ownership has to let the next person in charge make the coaching decision instead of keeping Willie because they love him. As a guy, Willie’s great, but not head coach material and also needs to go

  17. I don’t have any ill will towards Griff. He did some good things, he did some bad things. Got unlucky with injuries this season but it’s probably for the best the franchise has a reset.

  29. It was crucial for them to fire Griff. He was so egregiously incompetent at his position, the fan frustration would’ve affected the ticket sales and attendance.

  35. To me it comes down to they need a new head coach. Given his history of coaching hires, I would not trust him to make that hire. So he had to go.

    Also, almost no executive gets a chance to hire three head coaches. ChatGPT said the only execs this century who have gotten to hire 3 head coaches for one team are Presti in OKC, Riley in Miami, Ainge in Boston, and Sean Marks in Brooklyn. I don’t think his record justifies putting him in the same category as those guys.

  41. Willie Green is next ,and there is at least 3 head coachs who are btter than him and are got fired (Mike Budenholzer ,Taylor Jenkins and Mike Malone ,just give me one of these guys)

    But i have no idea who could be our next GM…
