Did the Cleveland Browns LIE to Myles Garrett about its future plans at QB?

The Cleveland Browns recently welcomed back Joe Flacco, who won four games for the Browns in 2023 en route to the Come Back of the Year Award. Cleveland also traded for former first-round pick Kenny Pickett. With less than two weeks until the NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns quarterback room still has a lot of question marks.

Did the Cleveland Browns lie to Myles Garrett about their plans at QB? UCSS has that conversation.

Superstar defensive end Myles Garrett recently signed an extension with the Cleveland Browns that makes him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history at $40 million per season.

Furthermore, it appears that Garrett is now privy to Cleveland’s quarterback plans.

“After conversations, I do have an idea,” Garrett said about whether he knows who the Browns’ quarterback will be next season. “I like it [the idea] enough to be here smiling in front of you, because I think we have a good chance of that happening and making the most out of it.” | https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/myles-garrett-i-do-have-idea-who-browns-2025-starting-qb

  1. This is like a murder mystery that doesnt make a lick of sense until the reveal. If there is one. Maybe Myles loves Flacco and was mad they cut him loose in favor of Watson???

  2. No, they didn't lie to him! They told them their plans, then he demanded a trade, then he went on a media tour to publicly humiliate the Browns, and finally they offered him an absurd amount of money, wildly overpaying a player who is pushing 30 with 2 bad feet. And deciding that money was what was most important, Myles Garrett reluctantly signed what will be his last big money contract, and he will effectively retire now giving little on-field effort and having zero f*cks to give.

  3. I have never liked Miles, I think they should have traded him. He produces in spurts and then disappears for weeks and because he's sucks at leading and putting the team on his back he doesn't impact the game enough. What he did over the past few months only strengthened my opinion of him. He's a self-important blow hard.

  4. I'm with G. I think Miles was playing with them. NO ONE in this organization has a clue, and we all know that. Miles' word isn't worth squat now anyhow after the silliness of a couple months ago, so it really doesn't matter.

  5. There’s no way they told him they’re bringing back Flacco and signing Kenny Pickett and Myles was like I definitely want to come back now 😂😂🤣 If they decide to pass on a QB in the first round especially Shedeur there’s no point in watching the upcoming season

  6. Myles doesn’t really care about a QB and he want to hang in for 3 or 4 more years and hall of fame time ! But I’m glad they paid him and they need to sign Nick Chubb ?

  8. Poor topic choice for this segment. I’m sure any player in any organization understands there is ‘the plan’, ‘the hope’ and then ‘what actually happens’. I’m sure AB and Stefanski told him the approach and Myles was ok with it. I’m almost positive that Myles didn’t want to be starting a rookie QB this season.

  9. A person would have to be an absolute fool to believe anything Berry and Haslam says about the future of the Browns! When they both believed Massage Watson was the final piece to make the Browns a SB contender, that's all you need to know about their critical thinking skills.

  10. What a waste of a segment. They start by talking about a complete nothingburger, as Lloyd accurately said, then get diverted by Crawford’s weird tangent about Garrett’s image. Hardly anyone cares now, let alone at the end of his career. Could we talk about actual football, please?

  11. If nothing else Myles Garrett is comfortable with his decision and soul purpose is not be a people/fan pleaser. He does his job well and his leadership speaks through his actions. No one is perfect and sometimes each of us may follow not the best advice. It happens. But the perception should be how we’re able to look in the mirror each and be satisfied with ourselves as a human being and not get caught up on public perception. We all fall short. The goal is for us to be a better version of ourselves on a daily basis. I’m off my pulpit now 🙏🏾🙌🏾👊🏾. Go Browns!!!

  12. Gentlemen gentlemen one thing I do not understand is why all you guys are saying that nine wins is an extremely high ceiling this season we want a loving games should have been 12 2 years ago with five different quarterbacks and so far just with the two quarterbacks we have on the roster right now outside of that other guy it's a way better quarterback room than we had 2 years ago and that's a fact my friends I do not think that nine wins is an extremely high ceiling I think we can easily go between 8:00 and 11:00 when this season as long as the injury bug does not bite us. Even g bush knows you guys will be singing a different tune come week 6 and we're sitting there at 4 and 2!!! Now that being said I'm a huge fan love the show.

  13. i don’t think they lied.. think they were honest. they knew they weren’t getting THE QB this offseason i bet they gave him a realistic 1-3 year plan

  14. I don't think it's fair to compare Joe vs Myles. Joe is the GOAT at LT in my opinion. Myles is one of the top 5. They are both great people but Joe is an absolute professional who is the most technical LT to ever play the game. However Myles is a bit lazy at times and relies too much on his natural talent. IF Myles had the same work ethic that Joe had Myles would be the best to ever play the game. Cleveland is very lucky to have had them play for us.

  15. The Browns are in the perfect situation to draft a quarterback . They have a veteran to lead the team at the start of the season. They also have a four year veteran just in case. Now you draft a rookie with the second pick in the draft. That will give you time to groom him , so that when he starts, he’s ready. That is how professional teams do it. All this talk of drafting anyone, but a quarterback is because most Browns fans are cowards. They are so afraid the quarterback will not work out if he comes to Cleveland. Where my fear is that when they pass on the quarterback, he will work out for whatever team that draft him. And the Browns will have regret for not drafting him . And they will still be looking for a quarterback.

  16. G Bush you're my dude….this dude going against Myles because of his image is"hog crap",,,,it's all about the money he was paid, give me a break….quit hating on him…he'll never get a "chip" in Cleveland because of this mentality….that's why Myles told him."next question"…so weak…just take rejection and move on dude

  17. I think Myles wanted the bag and probably liked cousins or Flacco. I mean if we had a decent qb last year we would have been in the playoff conversation. I think we have a slim chance of making the playoffs this year and that mean he has the bag and a chance to show his talents in the big stage at least one game

  18. Im just giving a what if but could the browns buy time to next yr trade for trevor lawrence. Its not working in jacksonville the browns will be able to void contract and release with a much easier to handle penalty and none pf these qbs give me franchise future vibes.

  19. Can't these guys are stay on topic? What's the plan, let's talk about Myles's image. Here's my plan: draft Hunter at 2 and trade back into first round for Sanders, +Juedy=Ws
