A lot of people have been coming out of the woodworks lately (and especially tonight) to shit on Edey.

He worked his ass off tonight, even if he didn't score at a high clip. For his first playoff game, he really made an impact with a double double. He's got so much left to learn in this league, and he's only going to get better from here. One performance in your rookie year should never define you.

And who knows? We got one more chance here Friday to sneak into the playoffs. See you then.

  1. Hopefully he can grow alot this offseason, because at 7’4 and 23 , who knows how much of a career he’ll have unfortunately. Yao ming comes to mind

  3. Him, Wells and the big 3 are the ones I’m confident on wanting to keep going forward the others are in purgatory right now

  4. That game was 100% lost by 20 if Edey sat for two entire quarters like Jenkins was using him

  5. I want to trust he can improve to the level we need, but man it’s hard to out-coach brick hands. That dude struggles to grasp a basketball.

  7. He sucked. Every time he was under the rim and dribbled the ball I cringed. Dude is a foot taller than everyone on that court and he won’t dunk.

  8. He’ll adjust next season to dealing with NBA bigs and tighten up on his handle. Still got hope for the big goon from the north

  9. 14 points, 17 rebounds, +6 overall (best on the team). He was their most impactful player. The Grizz are lucky to have him.

  10. He has a lot of flaws but he also has a lot of heart which a lot of players lack. Hopefully he can learn some basic ball handling skills over the summer, and get some confidence to just rise up and dunk over everyone

  14. Not a Grizzlies fan but he played well for a rookie imo. You need a big out there vs the Warriors and Edey is just young and inexperienced. But he will grow and learn to terrorise small ball lineups in the coming decade.

  15. i agree i feel like edey has A LOT of potential and the hate on him was just sad to see. I know he didn’t play great but bro if he gets a bit more development HE’S A MONSTER bro they were doubling him the moment he got the ball cause they were scared of him, but since he a rookie he don’t got much experience. this guy will be a beast in the future

  16. Absolutely love Edey. I really think he has the potential to be a dominant presence in the paint. But God dammit man someone’s gotta teach him to keep the ball up high and DUNK

  17. He’s a ROOKIE! I know we got spoiled by Wembanyama, Holmgren and some of the other prodigies (including CJ Strout, Nix, Daniels if ypu want to talk football) coming into sports lately, but rookies are allowed mistakes. I’m not going to be hard on him. This is Edey’s first playoff type experience outside college and it’s alright to make mistakes. Its also why I feel bad for Risaxher, Buzelis and other lottery picks who didn’t become Wemby

    Its kind of why I worry about Cooper, Ace Bailey (and in the NFL Ward, Shadeur, and Dart) is we’ve gotten accustomed to rookies coming in as superstars or being prodigies and the fans will inevitably be disappointed or upset that Cooper/Shadeur aren’t wemby/Stroud

  20. We will gain nothing from getting swept by OKC though. It’s honestly probably best case to just lose the play in and reset for next year. Though realistically I think the currently formed team is not going to make any more waves. They peaked at the 2 seed when we lost to the lakers without Steve-O
