Love Shane’s perspective and I believe he’ll be cornerstone for us moving forward. Possible all-star at some point.

Grubi blaming his mediocrity on playing time is weak. Just reinforcing they’ll be moving on from him one way or another.
Grub has said multiple times over the past few years that he’s only good if he is consistently starting. But he’s not good enough to be a consistent starter so it’s time to move on.

For a team that missed the playoffs, you can’t ask for a better locker room vibe going into the off-season. I’m glad Tanev is gone because he wasn’t happy in Seattle. This team is heading in the right direction, and I’m looking forward to this autumn.

I feel like this cuts out the best parts of the Kappo interview – basically that he feels much more at home here because of Seattle and Finland’s similarities and how nice it has been to have Tolvanen around to help him settle in.
I know he is an RFA but to me it sounds like he is genuinely happy to have ended up here and I hope he sticks around for a long time.
