  1. Suzukii was a freak. Hutson too. These two revelation and evolutionary seasons were dudes. And Martin STL was indeed a major reason. He's growing as a coach. It's all beautiful.

  2. Great news on hitting 20k guys, super happy for youse. The clubs foundation looks very strong indeed. Year 3 of the rebuild has yielded not only a competitive team playing meaningful and entertaining hockey in April but also making the playoffs is really a bonus. The positivity vibe, patience and the resistance to making rash decisions for short term gain throughout the organisation is paying off. The plan is coming to fruition. Thank you both for all your energy this season and looking forward to much more in the playoffs. Cheers.

  3. So the Habs went 32-18-8 for the last 58 games of the season. That winning stretch is probably top 7 best in the league, in other words, had they played as well in the first 24 games as the last 58, they would definitely have finished in the top 7 teams in the whole league. Washington is not going to take MTL lightly..

  4. Congrats, boys! Thanks again for all the content this season! You guys rule and I always look forward to your excited post-game analysis every single day!

  5. Hutson and Suzuki were probably the most obvious reasons we made this push, but huge props to all of l3 and l4, plus savard and struble for being the backbone of this team

  6. Let's govern our enthusiasm just a tad, folks (except for the enthusiasm for this Habs channel…congrats, guys, on reaching 20K subs!). This squad almost blew it (still would have exceeded expectations because they were never seen as close to being even the last wildcard team this year) and after the conflicted, confusing reg. season performance that saw, at once, really exceptional, top rank new, fresh commitment and skill AND the old, maddening, put me out of my misery with one bullet, please habits of poor puck control in their own end, the stupidest, most untimely penalties and less than professional effort on the part of certain players at certain times.

I've noted in other comments sections…the most multiple personality Habs team in the 66 yrs I have been watching them.

Yes, kudos to upper management and staff (teaching us patience and rewarding it), Marty for his humility with his learning curve and accepting all the chatter (even when he knew some of the chatter wasn't earned) but ignoring it to be a better coach.
And finally, for the players who never stopped believing they could actually pull it off IF they played in a clutch way. Big shoutouts to Suze, the "little bundle of joy" (HJ's moniker for Caufield) and Hutson (My goodness, a real two way star on defense…what Mete should have been for them years ago – Lane just proved that with superior skating, puck handling and passing skills you can be small of stature and still be a marvelous defenseman!)

  7. I would say Cole Caufield as the guy with highest impact for Habs success, because he scored most of the goals, and the most beautiful one with a between the leg goal in overtime. I would say that Cole probably would have score more than 40 had he not make more space for Patrik Laine.

  8. All the pieces are falling into place beautifully like a masterpiece. The chemistry is amazing. Team morale is at a high. I’m super excited and I love this team. The management team, with their team friendly contracts and prospect pool is more than impressive, it’s a masterclass!

  9. It's Heineman. No idea why, but he is the unsong hero of this team. I hope that 4th line gets rocking again!

    21-6-5 since 12/17 with Heineman

    7-9-3 since 12/17 without Heineman
