  1. It’s funny how quickly people forget how dominant Edmonton can play playoff style hockey – idk how every influencer is so quick to ignore a pissed off mcdavid (nuclear) and rocket winner draisaitl.

  2. A Stanley Cup team always has a solid goaltender. Edmonton fans are fooling themselves if they think that fits the Oilers. Pickerd is probably better than Skinnerd when the game matters. Also, LA is a full 4 lines and solid d. The Oilers have 97 and 29, I mean seriously, stop those 2 you win the series in probably 5. The Oil need to learn that it takes 4 lines, solid d and goaltending to win a cup, that isn't the Edmonton Oilers. Look at the last few cups, Florida, Bobrovsky, Vegas, Hill, all had solid d. Without 29 and 97 the Oil are not even a playoff team.

  10. SDP – Toronto has great defense and amazing goaltending. Edmonton has no defense and no goaltending. The difference in goals allowed this season was 5. So either Leafs aren't as good defensively as you think, or the Oilers are better than you admit.

  12. As an Oilers fan I hope either they lose in the first round or go all the way and win the cup. I don't think I can take another playoff run where they go all the way to the finals and lose in game 7.

  13. These Leafs guys are out to lunch with their picks. Oil are 7-3 in their last 10 games with all the injuries and missing bodies. The 2 shutouts to the Kings is only because of a very depleted lineup. Everyone is expected to be ready by game 1 or 2 of this series besides Ekholm. They also didn’t mention at all how dreadful the LA special teams are. LA needs to be innocent as can be or truly hope the refs put away the whistle because if they rack up penalties like the last season game, Oil will have their way with them.

  15. Is there anyone here who watched every game the Avs played during the 2022 playoffs, because I’d have a question for them. I only watched the final and I thought Kuemper so atrociously awful that I said he was the Lightning’s MVP and would have won the Conn Smythe had Tampa Bay won. Was he better in the other three series or did the Avs won despite him? Edit : fixed a few mistakes that I noticed after posting. Apologies for my poor English, it isn’t my first language

  20. Oilers are a playoff team. Kings are the same old defence only teams hate to play so they win games. To me it’s easy pickings for the Oilers and they might have even tanked for Kings.

  21. Hmm Oilers power play against the kings last year was at 45% with the Kings being the second best penalty killers in the league that year. There power play line will be fully healthy. They’ve added more toughness into the roster, they have out scored each team last year including the panthers against a god level goalie. And Oilers depth is heating up at the perfect time. Oilers absolutely will “Dig tf in” Oilers in 4 or 5

  23. Ekholm is a massive loss, but the Oilers added just enough (Walman was huge) to weather the storm.

    LA had a great season, best home record and all that. Took the season series with Edmonton 3-1. Ask Vancouver how that went for them when it mattered. All LA managed to do was lose a few more games in OT. They tied an Oilers team that truly at no point cared about their regular season, did just enough to make the dance

    Kane, Frederic and Draisaitl will all suit up for Game 1, McDavid and Draisaitl are entering game one with rest. Skinner is the wild card, but just like Osgood and Fuhr all he needs to be is good enough.

  26. LA has a superior defense and a much better goalie. Outside of Walman and without Ekholm, the Oilers defense is mediocre at best. Bush will make the usual mistakes and watch L.A. score🤣, Nurse is inconsistent, Kulak and Emberson/Stacher are mediocre by nature. Goalie Skinner is the worst goalie among 16 goalies in the playoffs – fact.😂 The Oilers' offense is weaker than last season. (my opinion). Oilers lost Fogel and Holloway and got Arvidsson ( -3) with 27 point this season and Henrique ( +2) with 27 points. Both newcomers clearly failed to live up to expectations of making it into the top 6. Stats do not lie: McDavid, Hyman and Nudge had much better seasons last year. Frederic and Kane, if healthy (big IF), are not top-six prospects – no chemistry with other players since they haven't played with the team this season. On the other hand, LA's offense looks better than last season. Resume: LA could advance to the next round😇 and I feel really sorry for Leon and McDavid who are stuck on a mediocre team😂

  27. Kings can humble the oilers, but r we really underestimating what mcd and drai can do. This isnt some antoine vermette core, they have the ability to take over series. i think ppl overestimating the kings.

  28. These “experts” purported to mention all the players lost from last year’s SC finalist team but left out Ryan McLeod, an important member of their penalty kill. Last year’s Kings team had Cam Talbot playing out of this world so although Darcy K is excellent, dot expect DK to play better than Cam last year. Big issue is the injuries.

  29. This series is entirely in the hands of the Oilers. If their health doesn't hold them back and their coach gets out of his own way they'll stroll through this series.

  33. Love hearing this expert panel pick the Kings in five. You talk about depth, and you can only name five LA King defenders where Edmonton has 8

    Forward group depth is no contest. Oilers have three scoring lines and with Kane, Frederic and Jones in the line up will pound the kings defense into submission. Game one will be dump in and pound Doughty all night long

  40. Pretty hard to gauge when you haven’t had a really good look at the oilers in the last month. McD came back from injury with 10 assists in 4 games, Skinner had a shut out, and Nuge had a few moments of greatness. They could be really interesting. Also liked Cam Dineen in the little bit I saw him.

  41. Oilers in 7. I think there'll be points where it will look like the Kings will have it in the bag, but the Oilers will not let them drive in the dagger.

  43. Why doesn't anyone think, that oilers are resting their players, and wanted to be as fresh as they could be going into the playoffs. Knowing last year they needed enough gas to get to the end.

  44. Fingers crossed Kings in 7. I think my Kings are the better team this year especially with no Ekholm but the Oilers always seem to find ways to beat us.
