  1. Hearing mcdavid talk about how people are called them "the walking wounded" gave me confidence cause he sounds MAD, and when hes mad, hes unstoppable

  2. The Oilers are the more dangerous team, and that’s because they’re operating from the dark side of the moon. Nobody knows what the team is cooking up, or how explosive guys like McDavid, Draisaitl, Freddy, and Kane will be. Has Stu really recovered? Are the injured players healed to an extent that they’ll come back in top form like McD? Only the team has the answers, and they’re keeping their cards close to the chest.

  3. Stu pulls it out of nowhere in the playoffs. We need to remember last season he was never supposed to be the starting goalie. Is he a Helleybuck, no, but he will never cease to amaze me when the stress is really there he performs, not necessarily gracefully, but he does perform

  4. What I find interesting is last year the kings were #2 best penalty kill, and the narrative was how are the oilers gonna score on the PP. It meant nothing, they went 45%. This year I see it being no different, the difference between Talbot and Darcy is not that big. LAs system goalies thrive but in the playoffs those regular season stats don’t mean as much

  5. All due respect McDavid produces at a higher clip with Skinner over Hyman, smaller sample with Skinner but you can see the chemistry and Skins finds McD well in OZ, Hyman doesn’t. I say major on your strengths I’d rather see a higher producing McD.

  6. Healthy ????? LA will test their healthy really hard !!! The Nurse non-hockey play is not forgotten & LA runs those injured players through the boards…LA in 6 !!!!!

  7. Ok let's be honest here. Keumper vs Skinner well this will be the deciding factor. PP PK will be the Oilers key to this series as well if they can't get the PP going they will be done.

  8. Lets go boys give it your all, and for the love of god don't blow the lead when you get it. I know your history when it comes to giving your fans heart attacks.

  9. Good stuff man I agree if the Oilers can get the split there and the longer the series goes on, the more it favors Edmonton. My original prediction was Oilers take it in 6 but if it goes 7 I still give the edge to Edmonton in a 7th game as well.

  10. Goaltending is the x factor of the series. I think no matter what the Oilers will be a better team at 5 on 5. PP and PK in terms of overall offense+defense. However with the way Stu and Kuemper have played this season, I think there's a chance that Kuemper could legit steal the whole series.

Edit: I did NOT watch the video before writing this. Literally basically repeated what you said lol

  11. Last i checked Draisaitl and Mcdavid are still the co mayors of Los Angeles. Going back in to assert dominance. Edmonton in 6, LA sucks, cry about it kings fans when we beat you for the fourth year in a row. Go Oil.

  12. From an unbiased hockey fan's perspective and assessing the stats between the 2 teams, even with the dynamic duo, the scale tips towards LA. But then again, these numbers don't matter, considering how very unpredictable and resilient the Oilers are. Especially Connor and Skinner.

  13. I think the Kings have a better team overall. True the oilers have probably two of the best players in the NHL currently. But if you lose one of those guys that just screws up the entire cog in the wheel for the oilers. Where with the kings I agree with you that we don't have any superstar so to speak but with Adrian Kempe and QB and you really didn't talk much about Kevin fiala. Who is an amazing player and he's learned how to stay out of the box this year. Well at the latter part of the year after he was sat down for a game. So I think the Kings actually have a better team overall and of course goaltending it's not even close. And to me defense wins hockey games. Yes yes I know You have to score. But I still think defense wins hockey games. And the kings are a bigger team which I think they can wear Edmonton down

  14. Obviously nervous about the series, but when I look at the positives – I look forward to the Oilers taking the lead in the series and then continuing to add big impact players back from injury as the series goes on. Imagine if they need a boost in game 4 and they suddenly have 3 fresh guys. Really hoping everyone can get to close to 100%, going to miss Ekholm but the team is going to want to win for him

  15. If we get grounded Stu Skinner, I'm Oilers in 6 as well. If we get problematic Stu Skinner, I am tempted to say Kings in 5.

With Ekholm out, Skinner and Pickard, will be the deciding factors, imo.

LA defense, will turn EDM's super-offense into regular offense, still capable of winning games, but I don't think they'll be capable of outscoring their problems.

We can't have the same garbage as last year, where Skinner spots the other team 2 or 3 first period goals, and the guys have to dig their way out every single night. They'll be exhausted by the 2nd round.

I pray Skinner took his time off, to work on his mental fortitude, and maintain composure. 🙏🍻

  16. This series reminds me of the 2nd round match up when the oil played the canucks. That was a 1 goal game series except for game 6 when they were facing elimination game. If we get the split coming back for game 3, we will take it. When we're healthy we dont lose. That being said, it will most likely go to game 7. Id like to see it in 6 at home, but you never know. I think this series will go back and fourth.
