the off-season plan series returns…let me know your thoughts on the Sharks
If Boeser is going to leave please come to SJ. a line with him and Toffoli and Celebrini would be great.
On April 12, 2027, San Jose Sports & Entertainment Enterprises will sell the San Jose Sharks to Ernest Garcia II, his son Ernest Garcia III, and Phoenix Suns owners Mat and Justin Ishbia for $1.92 billion, including a relocation fee of $195 million to relocate the Sharks to the Phoenix area, and on April 15, 2027, the NHL Board of Governors will unanimously approve both the sale and relocation of the Sharks to the Phoenix area, so after 35 years in the Bay Area (2 in Daly City, 33 in San Jose), the Sharks will relocate to the Phoenix area to become the 2nd incarnation of the Arizona Coyotes and use Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale as their temporary home until their new $2 billion 20,000-seat multi-purpose venue at the corner of University Drive and McClintock Drive in Tempe is built and open for the 2029-30 NHL season.
When is the last time a team has even traded a top five pick? It just doesn't happen much anymore with pick values being viewed rather universally in the cost being so astronomical.
Bottom of the league again
Another playoff less season
I can see San Jose moving down in the draft to pick up Victor Eklund and still aquiring an asset
Free Agent focus will be on the blue line
Grier has done a great job so far. If they stay patient they could have a montreal type of rebuild
They would be crazy to trade this pick. Next year maybe but their not close yet
Sharks will pick first this year. NHL is going to fix the draft next year so chicago gets McKenna
Sharks will get another star in this draft.
I think the sharks add a vet goalie, 2 middle six forwards, and two defensemen. It will be FA and cap dumps. They have to spend 20 million or so to get to the floor.
One thing to keep in mind is that the sharks lost something like 40 games or so by one goal. If you convert even half of those to wins, you’re looking at a 80 point team on the seadon. With proper goal tending some good additions in FA and improvements from their young guys. I think we should definitely see continued improvement in this team next season.
I’m not expecting them to be too much better next year, we’ll see what happens
