  1. Why not waive him until after the draft? I don’t understand benefit in doing it now unless there are some off the field reasons that haven’t been released

  2. Get Kenneth Grant and give him and Jarran the snaps at Nose and then Murphy and Big Cat can focus on getting after the QB. I wouldn't even be mad at all if Hawks dip twice in this stacked DTackle draft. Lots of beef for the interior.

  3. They had DT Ty Robinson in for a 30 visit and would compete with Mike Morris who needs to step, and I have them taking Robinson in round 3. Grant just isn't a NT, but can play anywhere on the line, which means you can get rid of the dead weight, and I'm assuming releasing Young is the beginning of this process.

  4. Here's my latest mock, but it doesn't include Grant. but if I were picking it would.
1 18 Grey Zabel G-C-T Already working a new mock starting day 2 after this pick blows up in my face. Could trade down with the Charges, Packers, longshots Browns and Giants. Could still get Zabel or even TE Mason Taylor by trading back. BTW TE Loveland's shoulder surgery is a red flag for me or I would take him in a heartbeat. Could the gift from the Gods be on the teams Radar.
    2. 50 Kyle Williams WR The secret is out on his abilities, but I’m hearing he might be reunited with his former team mate Cam Ward pick 35, but I would settle for WR Higgins if he makes it this far.
Don’t think TE Mason Taylor makes it this far
2-62 Jared Wilson C-G. Wilson came into Georgia as a RT RG, but moved to C after Va Pran left, not to mention, Tate Ratledge said he crossed trained at C after practices, which has me thinking. If this pick is made, look for Olu to be used as trade bait with the Falcons or Giants, but I like Olu.Trade down with Buffalo for 62 while getting 109 169 and a future pick
3.82 Ty Robinson DT played at 310 while at Nebraska and played over the center on passing downs. Also played some FB, so they say.
    3-92 David Walker Edge
    4. 109 Danny Stutsman LB Should go earlier, but he’s being mocked in this range.
4.137 Jalen Conyers TE. If Loveland, Taylor or Ferguson drafted earlier, Noah Fant will be trade bait, forever who could afford him, but with this pick he stays.
    5. 169 Bryce Cabledue RT-G
    5. 172 Maxen Hook Safety
    5. 175 Nazir Stackhouse NT The team will have several options at NT in this range
6.187 Jashua Gray LT-G Despite his measurables I feel he could play LT in a crunch, and he’ll make one hell of a LG
This pick is from trading Howell to the Vikings
7 223 Phill Mafah RB-FB. A good RB at 238, but the zoom call he had with the team was about playing FB I assume.
    7. 234 1 Kurtis Rourke QB
    1A Max Brosmer QB
No corners were taken, so welcome back to Seattle Shaquill Griffin.

  5. I'd suggest they're simply clearing roster space. Currently they have 69 players contracted, plus 10 draft picks, which only leaves 11 places left for UDFAs and any late FA additions. They are probably looking through their draft boards and seeing a few more likely FAs that they'd like more than him.
