Steve Kerr was asked in the postgame press interview what he thought about the events leading up to Jimmy Butlers' pelvic injury. He didn't believe there was any ill intent in the play.

  1. Even when you looked at the replay, you could clearly see he was shoved in there, unfortunately. Don’t think there was any ill intention against Butler there, just bad timing overall. Hopefully, Butler recovers well 🙏

  2. Idk why every single play where someone gets hurt or has a risk of getting hurt this sub immediately tries to assign blame. I get it if you’re a fan of the Warriors to initially be mad, no one likes their star getting injured and it feels better to direct your anger, but most playoff injuries are just the result of having a bunch of 200 pound giants who can jump out of gyms play at maximum effort and intensity for 48 minutes

  3. Yea because this happens on 90% of rebounds

No, Draymond didn’t push him – yes, he got bumped by Adams – no, he didn’t take a dive at Jimmy’s legs – yes, he sold some contact (which happened to be from his own teammate)

It’d be nice if people were more rational about this shit

  4. We have replays from all the different angles and it clearly looked mostly incidental but if you have to blame someone, it’s probably Podz and his lean-in against Adams so no surprise both sides think it was incidental.

  5. I’ve watched this replay about 10 times now. Absolutely nothing dirty about this play. Amen and Adam’s going for a rebound and Draymond going for a box out.

  6. Kerr is right about this. Thompson didn’t look like he was trying to do a dirty play. Draymond also didn’t push him like a bunch of dumb rockets fan were saying. Their team is just really physical and what Thompson did was force his way through 2-3 people and ended up stumbling into Jimmy which is the problem.

  7. I’ve been a Warrior fan since ’74 and it’s embarrassing how stupid our modern day, uneducated fan base is reacting incorrectly regarding this incident.

  8. Someone break this to the Warriors fans on facebook. They be wilding over there with the most colorful theories around

(For the record I genuinely think there was no ill will from either Amen or Draymond in that sequence. It looked bad live, but the replays showed it was really just that, a very unfortunate accident)

  9. Crazy for GSW fans to be up in arms given they literally have Draymond on their team.

  10. Man, the people saying it was intentional or that Dray pushed him need their head examined cause something is missing up there.

  11. It was not Thompson’s fault, and neither of Dray’s. If this series is already over, I just hope Jimmy can comeback next year healthy.

  12. Amen was already falling and slipping before butler even got there.

    Jimmy found himself over Amen.

  13. It’s the playoffs and the intensity is gonna be ramped up. Rockets has been highly physical and defensively threatening. It’s just an unfortunate event that happened. For better or worst, both teams are competing their hearts out.

  14. If this is what happens when a nba player is “bumped” by Adam’s. My curious how far a Norma person would go flying
dude is just a tank of muscle.

  15. Draymond actually pushed him underneath trying to block him out; looked like a normal play to me. Unusually clean by Dray’s standards actually

  16. A team that has won multiple championships recently has a fan base that thinks the nba has a secret conspiracy out to get curry and the rest of the team đŸ˜©đŸ˜©

  17. Did any of you actually watch the play? Adams smashes into him. Draymond doesn’t even really touch him.

  18. Lol Warriors fans think everyone wants to watch the league play their way of everyone running around uninhibited chucking up 3s. The moment some physical play starts they start crying like babies.

  19. People don’t understand the next level play Thompson made. Using his inhuman reactions to intentionally dive forward and take out the flying Butler’s legs with his own face.

  20. There would have been an actual fight if anyone thought it was intentional. The fact nobody even got in Amen’s face after tells you everything you need to know

Side note I slipped on the stairs a few weeks back and landed in roughly the same spot Jimmy did. I know that shit hurt like absolute hell and I’m going to wince every time he lands on his butt for the rest of the playoffs

  21. If something were unethical about that play, Jarrett Allen was right there to adjudicate it.

  22. Yal can circlejerk all you want but the baseline angle video came out this morning and he clearly was not pushed by Draymond. I doubt this comment will be received well but if you want to hate you should know you’re supporting a fake narrative.

  23. I mean do people actually think Thompson would risk injury to himself to intentionally take out another player?

  24. The video from the front shows Draymond’s right hand holding Amen’s right arm (over his body) for an extended period. In addition Adams’ body squezees Amen in between him and Draymond and Amen stumbles. If you really need to blame someone please look no further than Draymond.
