  1. Can never be mad at giving Jayden all the help he can get… with that being said definitely not ideal

  2. Great!! Protect the guy who can dissect some of the best defenses in the league if he has the protection

  3. I’m not upset. I’ll always take linemen on either side of the ball.

This gives you a starter and creates depth, especially with Cosmi recovering from injury.

  4. First of all, I’m surprised we didn’t trade down.

Secondly, we all thought we were going for EDGE, Secondary, or RB.

What is absolutely certain is we need depth in the trenches. Welcome to DC Josh Conerly Jr.!

  5. It’s not sexy but we won’t be complaining when Jayden has all the time in the world to scan the field or has the blocking to get upfield. Especially with all the monster D-Line’s in the division. It’s a great pick

  6. Oregon Duck fan here, he was absolutely the best player on our team last year and really should have been a top 10 pick. Truly dominate player. Handled Abdul Carter with ease. You guys got a ball player, congratulations.

  7. Never thought about him as a potential Commander but I think he’s a phenomenal value here and our O-line looks like a genuine strength now.

  8. A lot of people may hate on this pic, but I see it with the NFC East shaping up the way it is, we need to protect the quarterback and get some solid people in the run game, which we need, he is mobile so if you have watched every game this year and see where their run game is, he’s basically the perfect pick for our offense

  9. We have to play Giants, Eagles, and Micah twice a year. Get elite in the line and control the click

  10. From NFL.com

    >Two-year starter whose in-season improvement and performance against Penn State’s Abdul Carter make it easier to project his future. Conerly is proportionally built but lacks ideal play strength. He strains at the point of attack but needs to get his hips and hands synced to improve as a finisher. He moves easily in space and gets to his angles to help spring the run. Conerly sets with smooth slides and ready hands but gets caught over-setting. He has anchor troubles against power that might be challenging to correct. He sees twists and blitzes developing and recovers with athleticism when beaten. Conerly is young and needs more development, but he should become a good starter at tackle or guard.

  11. I will always support drafting OL, especially when you have a franchise QB.

(Also because I don’t grind enough tape to know anything about linemen so I just assume they’re all good)

  12. not a sexy pick but jayden is the franchise gotta protect him. OLine should be balling this year

  13. Tunsil Coleman Biadasz Cosmi Conerly has the potential to be an elite unit. Not a sexy pick but it’s all about protecting Jayden, pretty happy with this pick

  14. The Eagles destroyed our OL in the 3 games we played against him.

    Yall thought Tunsil was enough?

  15. I like it. Get this o line perfected. Jayden is this entire team and we have to protect him.

  16. Oregon fan here. Conerly was a top 20 recruit nationally in his class and more than lived up to the hype as our LT. He’s legit.

  17. You build inside out and Peters is doing just that. Protect the franchise, got to remember Cosmi is going to be out awhile so Coleman most likely will move inside. Got to keep JD clean!

  18. Duck and Commanders fan here. Was at the Big 10 Championship this year and Josh ABSOLUTLEY locked down Abdul Carter. Go look at the stats from that game. IMO Josh is the second best Tackle taken tonight behind Kelvin. Just watch. We got a gem. Mark my words.

  19. Yes, we need defense, but how can anyone hate this pick? They said they want to improve the run game, drafting a RB isn’t the only way to do that. Building an elite oline will drastically improve the run game as well, and keep our franchise qb vertical and with time to utilize the weapons we have. It’s not a sexy pick, but come on folks, our best years were built around a dominant Oline. That’s Washington football.
