1. It’s not that they lost, it’s how they lost.

   Without a massive improvement in team defense this team is beyond cooked.

   Battered and deep fried in lava.

6. As much as I live and breathe the oilers, I just don’t see us beating the kings this year. We had a horrible lead up to the playoffs with injuries in the regular season and the boys look clunky and out of sync. We need to drop Bouchard from the top D line, he’s honestly so terrible in defensive rush plays and almost never makes a hit as a defensemen should and the kings know this and consistently exploit him.
   I agree you can never count us out, but we need evander kane to put the fear of Edmonton into the kings and lay some people out. Our powerplay just looks so terrible right now with Bouchard single handedly causing turnovers with simple miss touches and read errors. Getting ride of foegle, Holloway and McLeod was just a terrible decision gutting the 3rd and 4th line of youth and speed.
   I seriously hope I’m wrong and we can take a 2-2 split from home and be back in the mix 👊🇦🇺🍻 but all things looking pretty negative right now and I’m sick of knobbie saying the same shit over and over in press conferences like their aren’t a few key individuals really letting the team down

7. Y’all act like you have the same team as last yr. Your team is way less deep offensive and defensively. Living in delusion. Kings take game 3 score 5-2. The oilers leaking oil 😂

8. You guys are pretty optimistic and I get it as a diehard Oilers fan, BUT they are not the same team up front, they lost, young, speedy, talented players and Broberg on the backend. Plus they are missing their best blueliner. This team is older and slower. I think Kings will win it in 6, I hope you're right though.

    This matchup isn’t about how poorly the Oilers are performing but how well the Kings’ offense IS performing. And as the King’s offense continues to improve it means their 200’ game continues to ratchet up. Kings have no offense before their bread & butter defense. Case in point, Danault. I suspect that your two stars will have trouble getting a drink of water. In game one McDavid reminded the Kings who’s boss. Man amongst boys! But alas, from game 3 to game 5 he’ll have trouble finding a glass of water. 😅

15. This is the best kings team ive seen in a decade i can see them winning the conference and going to the final. Sometimes you have to lose to learn how to win. This is absolutely on management 100% I don't blame any of the players and the coach can only play the cards he has. We have to win game 3 or its over, we could possibly get swept which would hopefully wake up management to build up our defense. I do believe we can beat them but we may have to change our style abit. Everyone needs to be better. 😊

24. we made some upgrades: pdMsmith & Talbot to leave to bring in Campbell $25m, dumped last yr PK to bring in Dermott & Emberson, dumped prospects Kesselring & Lavoie to open space, upgraded D w jBrown,Stecher, Klingberg, Walman vs Broberg, Ceci, Desharn, & got media on MGT side by dumping Holloway,Foegele,McLeod to get jSkinner,Henrique,Arvid, mJones betting that Janberg,Brown were about to become great & that adding Frederic would be the icing.. & paying Bouch more than Nurse would establish them as the character players for the future- so plenty of runway for a hot finish

26. I don't really count myself as a 'true' Oilers fan, more of a fan of the game, but anyone who's already counted them out is a fool. This team is dynamite when they turn it on. They can be scary good, so if they kick it into gear find their game, this series will turn on a dime. I'm pretty confident they will come out of Edmonton knotted at 2-2.
