1. I like the pick! I haven't been all that impressed with Onwuzerike and McNeil, this guy will definitely give us depth.

Your refusal to pair an edge rusher with Hutch is killing us, and two good ones fell into your lap at 28 and you passed on them. Howie didn't though – watch what Jihaad Campbell does next year.

16. Great first 2 years, and now you achieved idiot mode. GRADE C- !! You got a GREAT player that wasn't your greatest NEED!!!!! Needed EDGE and QB . NOW, show was what you can do in the 2nds and 3rd. Agree with previous commentor- you should have taken CAMPBELL if your goal was to shore up D. You FAILED. You picked a ROTATION player over a STARTER. You get a huge FAIl. I expected better from you.

17. When you're consistently going to the podium after the draft bragging about how once again you got your guy, you're picking guys too early. Next time don't reach and take the talent that falls into your lap. Mike Green or Jihaad Campbell would have made far more significant impacts on our defense. If we got a decent pass rush going, there's a chance we'd make up for Terrion's 4.6 speed and he might actually make a play next season.

22. Lions fans, if you could have been asked the question:

    "Would you like a 2nd Alim on this team?"

    Everyone would say yes. Just trust Brad took the BPA in his eyes and quit crying about positional value. Just cause you play EDGE doesn't make you a better football player. IDL is a long term need with only Alim under contract long term. It's also a short term need (to a degree) with Alim out injured for minimum half the season.

24. Given his track history Brad was working the phones. The way the draft board fell what was he supposed to do at 28. The crazy thing is how can anyone have a negative opinion already when the kid hasn't played a single down yet. Brad Holmes has earned the trust and I'm sure he's just getting started as the meat of the draft and his capital lies on day 2

36. Last year on Reader's contract and Lopez is a one year deal, so I get it. Does feel like he would've been available in the first half of the second round, but I guess if he's really the guy Brad wanted then maybe best not to take chances on it.

42. I had Harmon, him. Then grant as my top choices for Lions at DT. After listening i suspect thats about how Brad saw it also.

43. From 3-13-1 to 15-2 in 4 years!!! Plus back-to-back playoff appearances. What more do Lions fans want? This guy made us relevant! And we're on the cusp of getting to our first Super Bowl. Hasn't he done enough to earn our trust? Remember the Fat-Tricia years? How bout the 0-16 season? Or better yet, how we wasted the HOF careers of Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson which caused both to retire early? Do we not remember those years? Because they happened. The last time we were this close to getting to a Super Bowl was 1991 to 1995! 30 freaking years ago!! Let this guy and his HC do their jobs. If we don't win a Super Bowl with this guy in charge, it ain't never gonna happen!

45. Listen guys. Woukd i have rather had an Edge rusher? Yes. Would i have possibly even rather had an interior o lineman? Probably. But those 2 pisitions PLUS DT we NEED an elite level.player equally. When i look at the board at 28 and look at those 3 positions. He was by far the best player available and it WASN'T EVEN CLOSE. Once those 4 primary edge guys were gone and the 3 primary guards. Then there were tackles and he was in my top 2 to 3. Solid pick considering ALL things

46. It would be phenomenal if we could add Nic Scourton to the Williams pick. But I doubt he'll be there at pick 60. If I had to guess the next two selections, here's two scenarios:

    Pick 60 – Jonah Savaniiaea, OG, Arizona
    Pick 102 – Tyler Batty, Edge, BYU

    Or

    Pick 60 – Jordan Burch, Edge, Oregon
    Pick 120 – Miles Frazier, OG, LSU
