  2. Ideally, Henderson+Ezeiruaku/Scourton in the 2nd

    But for me any combination of Henderson/Kaleb/Judkins/Ersery + Ezeiruaku/Scourton/Swinson/Landon Jackon will do.

    If Henderson is gone before we pick, I also wouldn’t mind a tradedown to get a 4th in this years draft

    DE is a must though in my opinion. Way too thin there

    3rd round can be OL depth

  6. I think poles traded down at least once. He likes to move around after the 1st round.

  8. This draft is already a failure. Just fast forward to January when we once again do the sensible thing a year late and fire Ryan Poles.

  11. TE in the first round was a luxury pick.

    RB is a luxury pick we cannot make in rounds 2 and 3 now. No way. The trenches need more additions and plenty of teams skimp it together and make it work with RBs drafted in later rounds when need be. If you don’t have strong lines then you’re going to lose regardless of weapons.

    They have to hope Ersery is there at 39 and then take him. Otherwise the LT cupboard is pretty bare and leaving the draft without one is a major problem for this year’s roster.

    After that we are looking at BPA at DE, DT, and Safety.

    The best bet for RB is hope someone like Damien Martinez is there in the 5th round.

    Nic Scourton (EDGE) Young power rusher who forces double teams.

    Alfred Collins (DL) Akiem Hicks type player who can play anywhere from Nose to 4i.

    TreVeyon Henderson (RB) Fast, Doesn’t Fumble, Great Pass Blocker, and a Good Receiver.

    Charles Grant (OT) Freak athlete with long arms to sit for a year and true all-pro potential if he puts on weight.

    Jonah Savaiinaea (IOL) Dense frame and position versatility. Kind of guy Packers would turn into a good lineman.

  15. The more I hear about Colston the better the pick looks. And I was already OK with it immediately

    He’s going to be lining up everywhere, both on run and pass plays

    If Michigan had a functional QB/offense, there’s a good chance everyone loves this pick OR he doesn’t even make it to 10 with the Jets also needing a TE

    Try and get some OL depth, a RB1 and let Ben Johnson have fun installing his offense. Can’t wait

  16. I would have drafted henderson in the first if we traded down so if they can find a way to get him in the 2nd id be ecstatic.

  18. Think they have to come away with a round 2 EDGE, otherwise open to whatever depending on how the board shakes out.

  20. Hoping for Ezeiruaku/Scourton and then Henderson. Fills most of our holes and sets us up to take BPA for rest of the draft.

  23. I think people underestimate how much RB is a need for the Bears. Our OL’s pass blocking wasn’t great last year, but the run blocking wasn’t too bad. However our running backs literally got less production than what the line gave them. A good running back slows down the pass rush, takes pressure off the QB, and helps you control tempo and flow of the game. Swift is useful as a gadgety player and Roschon is just a guy. We need a true #1 for this offense to click.

  24. Edge dropped perfect for us. I’d say take Mike Green but there must be some merit to his SA cases if teams are avoiding an edge as talented as him in the first. Ezeiruaku is small for Allen’s mold of edge but he is just insanely talented. I’m a huge fan of all three of Nic Scourton, Bradyn Swinson, and JT Tui, and I sort of like Landon Jackson. So at 39 we should be able to get a good edge prospect. There’s also a lot of good DT prospects left like Alfred Collins, Omar Norman-Lott, CJ West, Shemar Turner, and Darius Alexander. It’s just a really deep dline class

    What we do after otherwise will be interesting. There’s plenty of good RB and safety prospects, but we need at least one oline player today. As far as value in the third I do like Mbow and Ozzy Trapilo a lot. Savaiinaea will probably go in the second but he’d be a good get imo. And I know I’ll get hate for this but I do like Charles Grant a lot as a tackle prospect, but I understand this sub being scared of yet another developmental small school tackle prospect. I do like Miles Frazier and Emery Jones a lot too, and for later rounds love Jackson Slater.

    Actually thinking on it there’s still plenty of good trench players available, and with a deep RB class I think it aligns pretty well with our needs rn

  26. Now is the time to trade down. If Poles can move down 10+ spots from one of these picks and get an extra 3rd, he absolutely should. Just making up a trade to illustrate. I would love something like: Bears move 39+233 To Tampa for 53+84.

    Being one spot in front of the saints at 39, and one spot in front of the Jets at 41 – we are a good destination if someone gets jumpy for a QB like Milroe or Shough. Rams at 46 make a ton of sense if they want a QB!

    How about 39 and a 2026 4th for 46+90? Rams get their QB, we add another top 100 pick.

    IDK, I’m itching to turn one of these 2nd rounders into another 3rd guys lol. Probably much more realistic to get a 4th +.

  27. I expect them to stay at 39, 41. Try and trade down 72. The talent in this range feels too good to pass on and im taking the starters personally.
