33. In the good ol pre rock em sock em era, crowd wouldvd bombarded opponents & absolutely smothered them with debris from drinks to objects. No chancd in hell a team like caps would walk off the ice in montreal without massive crowd of fans attacking opponents.

    This game has been 1 of the BEST nhl playoff games Ive watched in quite some time & ive watched 100s since 80s. Guys like Wilson wouldvd been sent off in stretcher by guys half his size in the rock em sock em era where no player safety or protocols existed. Eric Lindros ended his career right near the blue line as 1 of the biggesr hardest players, Wilson nor Ovi would have survived that era. Gretzky did bc he was highly skilled & intelligent skater & player, most respected leauge-wide in a much tougher rougher leauge n diff set of rules that didnt favor players, goals or safety.

    Trashy player. Brought down the flyers & prevented great team from winning with his trashy character. Caps acquired all rhe wrong pieces for an aging Ovi. Once u add petty minded players who instigate fights through cheap dirty tactics, u take away the focus of winning & playing n start focusing on fighting pushing shoving. Exactly what Flyers did for over decade n exactly what Caps are doing. During season, it can work but in playoffs doesn't work so well. Works against ya. Caps use to play pretty good hockey but now they're just shitty. The finale of the ovi era to try excite fans b4 he retires. Caps wont see a cup for anorher 40 50 yrs, many of us will be deas by then. So RIP to caps stanley cup push, after next season its finito. Wont get past Canes, will be a shooting gallery field day for them. Struggling this much vs a young inexperienced roster that doesnt even play that physical, Canes will absolutely murder Caps
