1. Despite those that live for hockey fights, the NHL has improved the quality of play by 5000% with rule enforcement. it is now a pleasure to watch NHL hockey, rather that the slugfests of the past.

13. I feel like Jackson Blake has kind of flew under the radar of the league. Anyone who’s watched canes games knows he’s become an extremely underrated player. A rookie on the top line, now with 3 points in his first 4 playoff games? He could have gotten his first goal too with the empty netter but gave it up for the safer play.

Between Meier and Siegantholer cross checking Jarvis within inches of Markstroms skate these guys need to find some impulse control. I get they are competing but there has to be some type of code before a disaster happens

17. At the game this was too fricking entertaining as a canes fan the hat trick by svechnikov in the game (which I didn't notice) and I was in the pier club seats and got an amazing view

24. I was at Game #3 on Friday night and at Game #4 today. Complete BS that Timo Meire "purposely ran into the goalie." Thankfully the penalty was reviewed and reversed. But it did not matter. The Canes wanted it more today. The Devils hardly showed up to play even when fighting for survival. The Devils did not want it enough today. Devils need a lot more scoring fire power. Very frustrating. I was very optimistic after the Devils uplifting Game #3 victory. And the Devils put out this dreck today. It is never helpful to give up a goal in the first minute of the game especially when you are fighting for survival. I could not believe my eyes when Noesen failed to simply clear the puck out of the zone and gave up a brutal turnover to Slavin leading to the second Canes goal. Hopefully the Devils show up for Game #5 this Tuesday and stun everyone. What a brutal uphill climb.
