They had to do something because they didn’t suspend Tkachuk. If they did nothing the next game was going to be a blood bath. I’m sure Collin Campbell is pissed off in the league office though.

Can someone explain to me (someone who grew up watching 90’s hockey) how this is worthy of a suspension? I haven’t watched hockey consistently in a while (go flyers) but getting back into it these playoffs.
At first I agreed with the suspension. After watching that video I still think they got it wrong. He stuck out the arm holding the stick straight out for leverage. He put 100% of this effort into that hit. 2 games is not enough. That is egregious and could end a career or life. Thankfully Hagel had a helmet. Might have saved him there.

They might better just remove hitting, that was an absolute nothing play lol unreal
