1. I did see that Thor Griffith is in for a visit as a UDFA and he’s got some pretty good size so maybe we can pick him up

4. He is not good. This is a huge step backwards for a franchise that has had a tremendous off season. Hopefully for the Hawks, he is cut before the pre season games even begin

19. I’m fine with Hankins as long as they keep him at 20 or less snaps per game. Last season he was playing way too many snaps the first half of the year and just ran out of gas. I think we still need another starter for NT. Go Hawks!

    If we force Murphy into playing NT again and our o line is bottom 3 again… we will never win another playoff game under JS.

24. We had a lot of opportunities to draft one. I understand passing j.phillips to get mills if you like him more. But later we took a FB whixh u probably get as udfa instead we could have drsfted that kid from Florida. Perfect run Stopper. We could have picked or even signed stackhouse as a udfa. Is he a solid starter? No. Is he better then hankins ? Probably. At least he cant be worse. I know he signed with GB. But it couldnt be easier to pitch that job. We have one of the best DLines in the NFL but we are missing a NT if u manage to play ok then you are a starter as there is no competition. I just pray at this point we play reed as NT fulltime bring in a bunch of udfa and cut NT.

27. We cou have had the best mt in the league in Jalen Carter who just won the super bowl but we took a 170 lb slot who runs a 4.5. Everyone was saying Carter was going to be a trouble maker but you were wrong. Devon Witherspoon is a hustler but he can’t play cornerback and he’s a overachiever at 170 lbs and we are still looking to stop the run with a big defensive tackle what a massive mistake.

28. He is just red zone depth for run stopping. He will only play in certain situations.

32. I really don't understand the intense focus on a NT… True NTs are predominantly a 3-4 base defense thing, which we are only rarely in, in the modern NFL. There's a reason most teams don't have a 350+ lbs refrigerator type of guy featured on the line anymore, even among 3-4 teams and it's because of spread systems. Huge refrigerators don't move laterally very well. We are a vast majority of the time in some form of nickel or dime and the offensive play call can be run to either side, so both DTs in nickel and dime have to be ready for a double team or to press their gap…and all you want as a defense is not to have a glaringly weak link in the line so the offense knows to attack and pick on that player in particular. If this was the 1980s to early 2000s and we were running alot of base 3-4 like the Steelers, Cowboys and Ravens used to or running alot of 3 man fronts, this business about getting a true NT would make more sense. But we're not. Really we just want some DTs that are hard to move, have good hands and can hold up on a double team if it comes their side so LBers can scrape and clean up, or break through 1 on 1 and get some TFLs from time to time if not. I do recognize a NT type player would be helpful for short yardage, don't get me wrong, but people are absolutely freaking out about THERE'S NO NT ON THIS ROSTER like the sky is falling and its silly…I would MUCH rather have a dominant edge player if we're talking issues with the defensive line.

He will be perfect for the NT that clogs the holes. He will need to be double teamed, and that will free up for our sack monsters!! Good signing, regardless of what the haters say!! 💯🎯✅️
