  3. WPG over STL. I won’t comment on the DAL / COL series. VGK over EDM. FLA over TOR and WSH over CAR (this one could go either way)

    DAL/COL over WPG in 6, STL in 5. Those are the two best teams in the west and I hate that they had to play round 1

    -take out Vegas in 6 games (2023 Semi-Finals loss)

    -take out Colorado in 7 games (2022 conference finals loss)

    -take out Florida in 6 games (2024 SCF loss)

  16. I think we’re destined to see a Vegas vs Colorado and Panthers vs Capitals matchup with the Panthers and Av’s the winners.

  18. If Dallas doesn’t win against the Avs. I’d say an Avs/Canes final. I cannot pick one between them because they are both great teams.

  24. Whoever wins the Avs/Dallas series is going to the SCF. I hate that it’s in R1 and not the WCF; it’s been some fun hockey to watch.

  25. The Dallas vs. Colorado series is the last minute coin flip of a series I figured it would be. Two high powered teams going toe to toe. Its been nuts.

    Hopefully Hellybucygvjcck (Sp ?) gets his shit together, cause they won’t last long past this round, if they close it tonight, otherwise.

    As a Canadian, I want SO badly for a Toronto vs. Edmonton final, JUST to piss of Bettman and his cronies.

  26. Caps and panthers for ecf. Colorado and Edmonton for wcf. A repeat of oilers vs panthers for the finals and Florida will take it again. Unfortunately. The Florida and caps series will be a great watch

  29. In the east, my gut says the Panthers have a real shot at winning again. That team just finds a way to win. Watching RD1, they just look so damn difficult to play against. They freaking *blanked* Kucherov. Then of course there is Bob, who *is* the best goalie left standing at the moment. This is precisely the kind of team Toronto struggles against, those teams that find a way.

    I think FLA goes to the final. I think they’ll get through either WSH or CAR, and I don’t know who wins that series.

    In the west, I don’t know. Vegas is looking really good. But of course, McDavid could will the Oilers out of that series on his own. I think that series is a coin toss. Out of the central, again, I’m not sure. Both of those series are blood baths at the moment. WPG/STL has been rough on WPG. If WPG can come out of that without serious injury and Hellebusch can figure it the fuck out, I could see them in the final. But they need to get back to their regular season form, all around. If they can get back to that stellar 5v5 play and Hellebuyck gets out of his head, they’ll get to the final.

    I also think Avs take the series here. MacKinnon is fully activated with 6 goals and the team has 12 players on the score sheet. Things are clicking, they just need to gut out this last game, which I hope they do. I’d take Avs over WPG in a RD2.

    My predictions:

    Final 4 – COL, VGK, FLA, WSH

    Final – COL vs FLA

    The Panthers look great right now, and are looking super difficult to play against. The fact they blanked Kucherov has me thinking they can also shut down TOR and anything out of the Metro.

    If COL can get out of this series with DAL, they’ll be a wagon coming into the second round, and I think they’ll keep that going and blow through either WPG, VGK, or EDM.

    I was fortunate enough to see three of the games, all wins, at the then RBC center when they won the Cup in 06. I was slowly converting my wife into a hockey fan. She got us the tickets as an early birthday gift for me. Everyone was going insane when they came back down 3 in game one. Cam was insane in the third period and throughout the playoff run. His Conn Smythe trophy was well deserved.

  31. Seeing Ovechkin break the all time goal record this season was pretty great want him to add a cup for the cherry on top.

  32. I’m kinda hoping for a Panthers/Avs Stanley Cup Finals. Still have plenty of nightmares of that 96 Cup Finals and it was such a magical run up until that point. And, F*ck Patrick Roy.
