  2. The more time goes on, the more I think his agent is at fault. He told Mikko there was no way he wouldn’t be re-signed, he wanted to play hard ball, the avs didn’t want to hamstring themselves with another top heavy contract and this gave them the chance to offload it. Someone told me this was Duchene 2.0, but I don’t think there’s anywhere close to the animosity toward Rants.

    The NHL is a business, and you can’t get mad for a guy wanting to get that bag. Bummer we couldn’t make it work, but he’s still the moose to us.

  3. I have to agree. Mikko’s a beaut. That said, I wish his team absolutely zero success while he wears a Dallas sweater.

  4. Why would he? Not his job to negotiate contracts; his was to make sure they play they way they’re supposed too. And they did. So in his books it’s good.
