NHL Playoff Highlights | Avalanche vs. Stars | Gm 7 | May 03, 2025

and game seven is underway Cross ice
bounce foul to Chus and put it right   on net and AER tested very early Now Sean
centers one and it’s picked off by Devon   Taves sending Nathan McKennon away One
of the great skaters one of the great   players Marty Nage is a shot blocked down by
Auterin and passed it off to Johnston Thomas Harley wristwan and wound up off the back wall
Mantinan 10 years with the Avalanche including   the first half of this season Now Harley it gets
tipped just wide by Johnston from the high slot   Lindell back into the corner And now Marchment
with some room Big and powerful forward at 65   Lindell put it on net off Blackwood and off
the back wall Clearing effort did not work as   Dan Oor the referee got hit by the puck Here
is McKennon goes around Cece and a beautiful   left pad save by Oder The puck against Colorado
even more importantly than any other team it’s   got to go deep all the way down the ice Dallas
doesn’t get it all the way It just ends up at center down low trying to stuff it Naser held the
post Energy in a building that’s already rocking   Jake Hotinger makes the stop here on Nas as he
comes out on the short side We’re under eight   minutes to go first period It comes free to Nuskin
down low It wound up going wide as Auter lunged   out at him Brock Nelson rebound free Charlie Coyle
set it toward the net Muskin’s going to come out   of this pack He’s got Jonathan Druan open there
but that’s really well played by Blackwell Cece   who played in the Stanley Cup final last year for
Edmonton played it ahead Rantonin on the back hand   have not disappointed Excitement and chances at
both ends The last one’s Ranton and Blackwood   makes the stop and still scoreless Yeah it’s
not like he filled the net during his time with Dallas 16 goals in parts of four season with
the Stars Then he has three in a game seven   He was a part of that trade from Carolina along
with Nes that sent Nico Ranton into the Hurricanes   for about a month and a half Gerard that’s
knocked down by the arm of Auter I would say   that’s an advantage for Dallas That’s the way
they want to play Sam steel fourth line on He   threw it on the net and then the followup fan
on by Beck Harley put it on net off the pad of Blackwood Shot blocked by Harley
I think some of the combatants   thought it went out of the rink It
did not And here comes Myle Granling   trying to split some defenders It
slid in to McKenzie Blackwood Now hits Stayed up on a dasher for a moment Harley
down low All alone Granland stopped He couldn’t   lift the puck with Blackwood sprawling at him
This puck is going to go around the boards And   as you mentioned Sean it stays up on the
dasher So Landiskog can’t get to it He’s   kind of chasing it around the end but Blackwood
reads the deak Watch the right pad go right to   the goal post There’s nowhere for Granland
to sweep it around And because he’s at the   length of his stick as far as he can reach he’s
not going to be able to wedge He does have one   here in this series It was one of those empty
net goals in game six Johnston a drive knocked   down by Blackwood He couldn’t corral it but
the rebound was swept from harm Now it’s back   in arm and backhanded on by Ben by Molinsky
And then the next rush same shift Johnston   goes across to Donov It looked like dropped back
played by Okconor who has the only short-handed   goal in this series He centers one They score
short-handed Josh Manson makes it one- nothing Colorado Up in the play trying to create some
offense A a poor entry into the zone by Hint   Okconor takes off with his terrific speed and
nobody gets to Manson coming up the middle of   the ice Duchain is late The pass from O’
Conor is right on the tape And Josh Manson   has an empty net goal in game six He’s got the
short-handed goal in game seven Charlie Coyle   back to the line Pointto point Taves to Macar
Mar that gets deflected a couple of times A   backhand right on Kevin Rant managed to get a
shot on even though he was tied up in the slot The Niskan line is on for Colorado with Nelson
in the middle and Landiskog on the other wing   Off the glass on it There’s a penalty coming
here against Dallas Blackwood’s out McKinnon   attacks and scores Nathan McKinnon
makes it two to nothing Avalanche McKinnon’s going to come from the top end of
your screen as the puck will come back around   Here comes McKinnon open around wide to Johnston
And remember on the first period on the power play at the line Petravic Bishel putting
it on bouncing high in the air played off   There’s Shane stopped Great opportunity
for Matt Duchain Pocky holds it and as   everybody gets to Rantin and tries to take
a look at him Duchain pulls up and he’s   wide open Played in all six in the series
now all seven after playing in just five   in the regular season 58 in the AHL Back for
Brandon Brandon in all kinds of room He scores Moansin has Dallas on the board Goals in 81 playoff games for the
A Look at the patience to walk across the   slot to shoot it Sam Steel goes right through
Lchinan and Lingren with seven points combined   and he has the goal that is Dallas on the board
O’ Conor kicked out Oh stop by Granlin now Many   of the fans on their feet out in front and off
the stick of Harley He didn’t get a lot on it   Probably got to get involved here He scores the
goal to make it 2-1 Manson A good stick left on   Duchain who got his stick back but sent it back
to an empty point And the time ticking off the   Stars man advantage and off the clock here in
the third period Branson in again Branson and scores off the skate of Gerard The former
Colorado Avalanche star has scored twice to   tie it for Dallas Rantin comes with such power
and speed He catches Lindren flatfooted So he   goes through that opening into the zone and the
puck hits the skate of Sam Gerard Back-to- back   goals in the third period for Mo Ranton An
amazing turn of events Our rules expert Dave   Jackson agrees with the call as Furry took down
Sean Power play for Dallas They just tied it A   man up now trying to take the lead Down low
Johnston scores Wyatt Johnston with 356 to go Power play is perfectly executed
Duchain leaves the slot right on top   of the crease and goes across the scene
to Wyatt Johnston from the acute angle   Johnston has the patience and poise of someone
much more experienced The youngster fires it   into the empty net 15.2 to go Colorado
the last 11 shot attempts Mar kept it in   Prep Lindell didn’t get good on it but Sean
got it out Ranch it in again Unbelievable A legendary performance by
Ransin against this former team Four points in the second
period That was in a losing effort   This is unbelievable Three goals and an
assist in the third period for Mo Rantin   a remarkable game seven third player or coach
who’s won nine game sevens in NHL history and   he’s 9 and0 and on his way to the second
round with an incredible come from behind

  1. This was a super cool game to watch! This couldve been a Stanley Cup Finals Game 7. Both teams put on a good show for the fans. I think Dallas got really lucky tonight though. They had their screw ups in Game 6 and they really slowed the Aves down this game versus 50 SOG, but they got lucky. Something in their game needs to change or theyre gonna get crushed next round. Its only gonna get harder. They either play really technically and need to loosen the screws, or theyre not a really big (Andre the Giant) type guy that if they grab you they'll beat you to a pulp, but slow enough that if you can be fast enough to manuver around youre good. That puck was in their D-Zone far too much and far too long. They need to being it up a couple notches. I think Colorado played well and Dallas got lucky. Still a solid game though. That second goal off his toe. Wow!

  2. Someone in that Avalanche office should be fired for letting this man go, could of had a second run but I guess where getting a rematch Oilers Vs Panthers. Saga not finished

  3. Mikko, I'll always love ya despite ripping my heart out tonight. Best of luck moving forward Stars, bring home the Cup!

NHL, pull your heads out of your rear ends and fix your stupid playoff seating system

  4. I hate how talent like Makar, MacKinnon, Necas and Lehkonen had to go in the first round, but this is what happens when you make The Moose mad by booing him every time he touches puck in the cauldron that has been his home for a decade.

  5. Considering the Massive amount of backstory coming into tonight.
    Rantenan was unreal.

    This game was Pure Cinema!!

  6. Imagine booing a guy who was loyal to your organization and then he comes back and embarrasses their entire organization 😂 damn avs fans

  7. Ehat did the Avs need to win tonight?

    Mikko Rantanen.

Where was Necas? Complete ghost like he always is in the playoffs.

Smart people said that trade would haunt the Avs in the playoffs….and it did.

  8. Always amazes me when a 7 games series ends up being won by 1 goal ( sorta). Everyone predicted an easy win for Colorado, congrats to Dallas fans

  9. From beginning to end, this series was incredible, and Pete DeBoer remains Mr. Game 7. Hats out to Mikko Rantanen, the moose, who played against his old squad.

  10. According to Denver, all their problems had gone with Georgiev's departure, and they even celebrated his struggle and defeats in San Jose.
