‘That’s the stuff legends are made of’ 🏒 Reaction to Mikko Rantanen leading Stars’ comeback

What a hockey game tonight. What a game seven Saturday night ABC from Dallas. Emily asked a great question to Miko Randon. What was it like going through that handshake line? He said, “Those are my brothers.” It was very emotional. 10 years he played on the other side and tonight he beats him. How about this? your Dallas Stars when trailing after two periods, three wins the entire 82 game regular season and so far the sevename playoff series this postseason, the same amount of wins, three of them. Uh with Mark Messi and PK Suban, we we enjoyed that hockey game very much and watching Ranton and finish the the hattick. Mess who knows something about this said that’s the stuff legends are made of. And so it was really remarkable to watch you watch it. It was an amazing third period and you got to just love Renton and the way he came alive in the third period. Uh one of the reasons why a player like that is so soughta. Uh he’s got all the size, all the skill, all the drive and to be able to come up with the goals that he did in the moment that he did is just incredible. You you’re you’re thinking, well, how is Dallas going to get back into this game there? Underman going into the series uh with with Heiskin and Robertson out that are really a big part of their offense. Someone needed to stand up and make a play for the short or underman Dallas Stars. They had 10 shots the first two periods. 10 shots goal, but they were they stayed so disciplined. They didn’t expose themselves defensively trying to score the goal. And sure enough, he got uh he got them to come alive. Amazing amazing performance. First of all, I want to talk about him as a person. Just a class act. Everything from the trade to this point has been classy. For a lot of young players out there that are watching that are going to play in the National Hockey League or play high level hockey, that’s the way you conduct yourself. On top of that, you want to get paid the big bucks in this league. 12, 11, 10, 13 million, whatever it is. This is what we expect from you. Okay, that’s the standard. You want to make the big bucks. If you’re coming out here and you’re dancing around the ice, you don’t have these results, we’re going to say something about it. This kid comes out. Oh yeah. Back-to-back four-point performances in the toughest games on a new team trying to prove to his teammates about who he is. This is an allar. This is a superstar performance that should be talked about for a very very long time. Hats off to this guy. Two for four on the power play. Puts the power play on his back and gets it done. Get don’t don’t scored with 31 seconds into the third period to make it two nothing. And with the lack of Dallas offense, you had to feel like the game was over. And we’re waiting for something to happen. And then then it was there. Well, and and that’s exactly what you’re thinking about. How is it going to get done? How are they going to get back in the game? It just looked like they just didn’t have the offense to be able to get climb back in it. He put the team on the back and carried into the victory tonight. Pete Dbor is part of this story, guys. He improves to 9 and0. Pete Dbor is 9 and0 all time. That is amazing in itself. Wow. Here he is moments ago. Everyone deserves a day off. Take it. We’ll see who we’re playing tomorrow night in the next round. We’re going to need everybody in this room. I know it sounds like lip service, but we will. We will where we’re going. So, keep yourself ready. Fantastic job. Fantastic job.

  1. Here’s another bewildering fact: in the two last games four Finnish players( Hinz, Granlund, Rantanen and Lindell) made 40 percent of all Dallas’s points

  2. Float like a butterfly, sting like a BEE!

The Stars pull a ROPE-A-DOPE and knock out the Avalanche in the "final" round!

Get that cup, baby and cement the legend!

  3. Have you guys seen the movie 'Gladiator'? It's about a hockey player who got betrayed by his own team who didn't appreciate him much – He got dumped and the bad guys thought they'd never seen him again and he's done for good – But then he gets back and crushes everyone. It's a good movie, I recommend it.

  4. This is what happens when you trade one of your all time scorers and all time playoff scorers and don't make sure hes got a contract with the team you traded him to. The canes boned us with that one.

  5. Rantanen’s first goal is on Nichuskin’s god-awful, lazy, selfish play.

He made an idiotic between the legs pass when he should have been fighting along the boards then absolutely floated back in the zone and gave Rantanen all day to load up.

    What a complete bum.

  6. Rantanen, bigmac merchant. Where are all the toxic Avs fans now? Necas 1+4 in the series, Moose 5+7?
You said Necas is doing the same or better, without big money. Better pair with bicmac, yes?
Moose had more points than bicmac. Who’s the merchant to who?

  7. I've lived in Dallas for 30 years now, but I grew up an LA Kings fan. I used to watch Wayne Gretzky take over games like this. What Mikko did tonight reminded me of Gretzky. This was a truly LEGENDARY performance! WOW!

  8. I'm not gonna lie, I shut the game off after P3 started. I'm both proud of my team, and ashamed of myself. When I turned it back on it was 2-2. What a gut-check performance by the Stars!

  9. PK annoys the hell out of me but he hit it right on the head. This is why you pay certain players the big bucks. This is why hes worth 8yr/96M. He’s a DAWG. Absolutely one of the best players in the game

  10. When you get traded to the east saw it was to hard and go back to the west even though your probably better than alot of the other players…makes sense i guess

  11. People saying this was legendary when one goal went off a skate and another was an empty net? Y’all acting like every goal was highlight reel worthy. 😅

  12. It was hilarious when people ragged on rantanen, saying he was only good when he played with Mackinnon. He's a bonafide playoff stud

  13. Old Ranger fan here. A little advice to the diehards, It's only "stuff that legends are made of" if Dallas wins the cup, if they don't, this game will be just a moment in a failed quest, Last season Krieder did the same thing for the Rangers vs. the Canes,,, remember that? Either do I.🙄
