But let’s get to this one between at the Miami Marlins and the Athletics. The Athletics sending out JP Sears for the start in this one while the Marlins will counter with Edward Cabrera. And you have two starters for me that are just heading in different directions right now. His last three starts for JP Sears. He’s gotten the win in all three starts. He’s given up a combined three runs on 13 hits over those three outings and that’s gone over 16 and two/3 innings of work, 14 strikeouts to three walks. Meanwhile, Edward Cabrera 0 and one in his last three starts, but has given up 13 runs over 13 innings of work. And you know, the walks have been high, eight walks combined in those starts. He’s given up at least three walks in uh in three in three of his four starts so far this season. Strikeouts were there, but Cabrera has also given up a home run in each of his first three start, excuse me, first four starts as well. So, um yeah, I just don’t love this matchup for the Miami Marlins. Yes, the Marlins have shown great improvement this season, at least out of the gate in terms of their offense and their bats. And this is a Marlins team that, like I said, has been able to provide some value early on this season. If you look at their numbers the last two weeks against left-handed pitching, they are hitting 242, which is still a decent number, but the problem for me is the team OPS numbers aren’t great. They’re still, you know, just outside the bottom 10 in baseball. JP Sears is a solid option for the uh for the athletics. And right now, the Athletics are just playing the better baseball. The Miami Marlins, they just can’t get out of their own way right now. They’ve been getting crushed left and right, entering Saturday’s action. This is a Marlins team that over the course of the six-game losing streak has given up at least six runs in all those games. And, you know, they’ve really just been struggling to keep the damage to a minimum. And the bullpen RA for Miami has been brutal as of late as well. A 5.85 ERA out of the pen over the last two weeks is third highest in baseball. The Athletics not a whole lot better with a 4.50 staff erra, but I do trust JP Sears in this start. I think that Edward Cabrera could get hit hard. Once again, this athletics lineup has been producing offensively. They don’t have the best numbers against right-handed pitching, but again, they’ve been able to drum up a lot of offense, and I trust them in this spot, laying juice on the road. It’s not a huge hefty price that we’re laying here, so give me the Athletics in this one on the money line, and that’s going to be my free pick.
