But, let’s get to this one between the Athletics and the Seattle Mariners. The Athletics sending out Luis Severino for the start in this one while the uh Mariners will counter with Bryce Miller. And Severino has been solid in his last few starts. You know, last time out it was five innings of one-run ball. to give up eight hits against the Texas Rangers in a game that ended up being a 7 to1 victory for the Athletics who are, you know, just playing some really great baseball right now. But the thing is is that we’ve seen Severino at times this season have problems um pitching at, you know, at home in this new ballpark in Sacramento, the new digs for the athletics for the next little bit. And I worry that that’s going to be a problem here against a Mariners team that in the last two weeks against righties has been absolutely smacking the baseball. Uh, you know, you look at their batting average against righties in the last two weeks, second best hitting 303. The team OPS numbers are the best in baseball. You know, they have 329 Babiff, which is third best. The isolated power numbers are the league best. So, this Mariners’s offense is just firing on all cylinders right now. And I worry for a pitcher like Severino, who’s been known to give up some contact, known to give up some hard contact at that, and I think that he could struggle in this start as well. On the other side, you do have Bryce Miller, who did have issues in his first start against the Athletics earlier this year at home. Five and two/3s innings, gave up three runs. Um, and it was a game where, you know, the Athletics won four to2. But I still think Miller’s decent option here. As much as the Athletics have been great against uh against righties in the last two weeks as well, hitting 254 with top 10 isolated power numbers. You know, the team OPS numbers are bottom 10. Uh, excuse me, the um the team OPS numbers are just outside the top 10, pardon me. and the Babbot again could stand to uh to be a bit better. That’s where they’re just outside the bottom 10. Um so between these two teams, I think the Mariners are just hitting the hitting the ball better right now and I think they have the more trustworthy bullpen. The Mariners bullpen ERA sub3 in the last week while the uh the Athletics are bottom five with a 6.85 RA out of the bullpen over that time frame. So, it’s a match up between two under the radar teams that have been providing us with a ton of value early on this season, but the Mariners offense is starting to really come to play and I think they can get the job done on the road here.
