Cale Makar Discusses Colorado Avalanche vs. Dallas Stars Series & Gravity of Game 7 Matchup

[Applause] here today. Is this another game? Are you guys talking about the uh the gravity of game seven? No, I think it’s just uh it’s pretty evident. I don’t think much needs to be said, but I think we’re going to be ready for what’s to come tonight. And um I mean these are ones you get excited for, so should be fun. How do you guys make sure that you don’t get too excited and play outside your structure? Yeah, there’s going to be a lot of times um hopefully ups and downs in the game and that’s just the way it’s going to go, but you got to manage that even ke um for us it’s just going to go all the way back to structure under that. What are you guys trying to replicate from game six? What are you trying to clean up? Uh yeah, I mean offensively I felt like we were doing um things right. I think because at times it was just a little bit tough setting again there’s going to be those relationships in games but you just can’t give these guys opportunities like that and um obviously it’s tough offensive threat so for us making sure we dial it how different is this Dallas team at home much more calmer game yeah I mean every team’s different um when you play at home obviously you have that momentum that you can always rely on from the fans and um for us it’s just going to be again managing that playing consist That’s what you got to do. But does it feel like every game series is sort of its own world, it own universe? But I think for sure. Yeah. I mean, you never every single period seems seems different. One period, the next period you go for. So, um, again, it just goes back to staying even kill and making sure that we’re consistent the whole night cuz can’t give these guys opportunities cuz they know what they’re going to do. So, kind of undermines the idea of momentum, right? There’s something existing in this series. It just changes so rap for sure. I mean there’s all sorts of um but at the same time like good teams know when to when to be able to do that question. you able to enjoy a game like tonight just in the in the moment a game seven like this or is it more after? Yeah, I mean you have to enjoy it. Um there’s only so many people who get to play in a situation like this. So at the end of the day it’s a privilege and for us to be able to be in this spot have this pressure on us. I think that’s a that’s a privilege upon ourselves. Heat. Heat. [Music]
