Austria vs Canada preparation match rosters IIHF World Championship
[Music] Welcome to Euro Hockey Hub. In this episode, we’re going to look at the preparation warm-up game for the World Championships, the matchup between team Austria and team Canada. Let’s take a look at the rosters and see who has been named. We are not sure who is confirmed to actually be icing, but we have our rosters for what is anticipated to be the teams for the game on the 4th of May 2025. Let’s start with team Austria, the net minders. We have David Kikat and ate Tolvenan. Both champions recently of the Winter Ice Hockey League representing the Red Bull Salsburg. And we have Florian Fura of the K Arce defenseman. We have Gregor Bieber of Rogul in Sweden. We have Dominique Heinrich formerly of the Vienna Capitals to be confirmed. Lis Lindner of the Black Wings Lints. David Meer of the K Arce and Timonik. Then we have Rammon Schnedzer of the Pioneers Foralberg. Paul Stapplefeld of the Gratz 99ers, Patrick Zullinger of the Black Wings Lints, Clemens Unto Vega of Kah, and lastly we have Bulf of Clottton playing out of um Switzerland. Moving on to our forwards for team Austria, we have another player playing out of Switzerland, this time for Lashel Duon and that is Oliver Akaman. Then we have Benjamin Bamgardner also playing out of Switzerland for Bay. We have Nikico Feldner formerly of the Black Wings Linds to be confirmed. We have Lucas Halden, Paul Huber, Lucas K of the Glads 99ers. We have the sole NHL representative for team Austria. We have Marco Casper of the Detroit Red Wings. We have Nicholas Krauss of the Etsy Red Bull Salsburg. We had the return of the legendary Austrian player Brian Lebler of the Black Wings Lintz. Thomas Raful of the Red Bull Salsburg. Vincent Roer of the Zurich Lions. Peter Schneider and Lucas Tala from the Ete Rebel Salsburg. Leon Walna from the Vienna Capitals. And lastly, we have Dominic Ta from Ambry Priotta. Team Canada. Starting with the net minder and just the sole net minder, Dylan Garan of the Hartford Wolfpack and New York Rangers. Defenseman for team Canada. Noah Dobson of the New York Islanders. Riker Evans and Brandon Montour of the Seattle Kraken, Travis Sanheim of the Philadelphia Flyers, and McKenzie Wager of the Calgary Flames. Moving on to the forwards, we have Mlin Celibbrini of the San Jose Sharks, Will Culie of the New York Rangers, Adam Fantelli of the Columbus Blue Jackets, Tyson Foster of the Philadelphia Flyers, Barrett Hatton of the Utah Hockey, Bo Hovat of New York Islanders, Kent Johnson of the Columbus Blue Jackets, Travis Ketchnney of the Philadelphia Flyers and Ryan O’Reilly of the Nashville Predators. No Connor Badard this year. We also have some additional players that shall be making up the team Canada for this game and this game only, not the World Championships. Team Austria face Team Canada in a preparation match in warm up to the IIHF World Championships 2025.
This game takes place at the Steffl Arena in Vienna, Austria. 15 NHL players make up the team plus, some additional players made up across europe and the WHL and OHL. There will be no Conor Bedard this year.
We have players representing teams from Austria, Canada, Switzerland and Sweden. Including: Calgary Flames, Columbus Blue Jackets, Detroit Red Wings, Nashville Predators, New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers, Seattle Kraken Utah Hockey Club.
