  6. It's hard to get excited for the future as an Avs fan. We traded our best winger and our best C prospect (Callum Ritchie) to build depth and that depth didn't show up again in the playoffs. Second highest scorer in that series was Logan O'Connor.

  7. I guess you could say the Avs had a negligent discharge letting Mikko go, only to have him end their season. Even more karma was he started the season with a hattrick and ended the season with one.

I’ve now had a full day to sit on what happened and I mean since 2022 the stars have only played until game 6 or 7 in a series they never really make it easy on me or the rest of the stars fans but sometimes the ride has the perfect ending. No one could’ve scripted that better. Mikko is a Star!

  20. Re: that wraparound goal, he had Lindgren twisted around completely, and also suckered Blackwood into at the VERY LEAST a tripping call that would've led to another Stars PP anyway, even if he hadn't managed to bank the shot off Girard.

    Mikko put the team on his back and pulled off one of the greatest revenge games I've ever seen.

    Also it's the second time in three matchups between these two giants that a Game 7 hatty sinks the Avs.

  22. If the Avs or their fans are not happy with Cale Makar, I'm sure that the Stars would be happy to get in line to vie for his service. The Avs getting rid of Makar would be like the old Red Wings getting rid of Nicklas Lidstrom. You just don't want to lose a Hall of Fame type player like him. But then…….Rantanen…..Hmmmm

  25. As a Colorado fan I’ve already been asking this and unfortunately well never know. If it was pay negotiations if mikko was asking to much or if management panicked. It hurts seeing him go he was one of my favorite players to watch.

  29. As soon as that second goal went in I knew Dallas was winning it. They lost game 6 on a bad break going off their own defender, it’s funny how things tend to even out.
