Stars’ Mikko Rantanen Buries Avalanche With Hat Trick In Game 7

playing in all six in the series, now all seven after playing in just five in the regular season, 58 in the AHL. Back for Brandon. Brandon and all kinds of room. He scores. Moinan has Dallas on the [Music] board. Goals in 81 playoff games for the A. Look at the patience to walk across the slot to shoot it. Sam Steel goes right through Lchinan and Lingren. Manson a good stick left on Duchain who got a stick back but sent it back to an empty point. And the time ticking off the Stars man advantage and off the clock here in the third period. Branson it again. Branson scores. off the skate of Gerard. The former Colorado Avalanche star has scored twice to tie it for Dallas. Rantin comes with such power and speed. He catches Lindren flatfooted. So he goes through that opening into the zone and the puck hits the skate of Sam Gerard. Back-to- back goals in the third period for Miko Ranton. An amazing turn of events. 15.2 to go. Colorado the last 11 shot attempts. Macar kept it in. Free puck. Lindell didn’t get good one on it, but Sean got it out. Rips it in again. Unbelievable. Legendary performance by Rantin against his former [Applause] [Applause] team in game six. Brantin had four points in the second period. That was in a losing effort. This is unbelievable. Three goals and an assist in the third period for Mo Rantin. I can’t tell you what he said when he skated around here, but it was how about that Colorado in a different way. [Music]

Watch as Dallas Stars forward Mikko Rantanen exacts revenge on his former team, burying three goals in the third period of Game 7 to help lead a win over the Colorado Avalanche.

  1. Was thinking Laine's first games were the feel good moments of the year but boy was I wrong. I'm so happy and thrilled for Mikko! He must feel he has found a new home – not just a new team.

  2. Sports betting got me watching NHL. NHL players are very skilled! I never knew I was missing out on so much action. I see now that hockey is one of the better sports!! Great video.

  3. The Avs owners and GM are a joke! He loved it in Colorado but got thrown under the bus — and now he hit back. Good Hollywood story!

  4. I kept thinking all the time why would they trade the moose. Everyone needs the moose for cups. If you want cups you have to have the moose on your team.

  5. Wonder if Rantanen got any sleep last night !!! Ive watched hockey for 60 years and played in my teens and i promise you ive never seen any other performance by a single player in my life just put a team on his back and will them to victory !! One of the greatest performances in NHL history that will be the opening advertisement when NHL playoffs begin for years tj come !! BRAVO SIR !!

  6. I still just can’t believe this happened. Simply incredible game by Rantanen. Also, the announcer screaming on his hat trick goal it’s pure goosebumps. Terrific!

  7. Poetic justice! The second Ex-Av in as many years to vanquish them!! Beautful! MacKinnon Makar and Landeskog all on the ice! Last year Duschane. This year Ratanen!! Go STARS!!!

  8. Hope the people who attended this game realize they witnessed one of if not the greatest playoff game in stars history. One of the greatest individual performances in NHL history. Absolute cinema.

  9. The Avs fans are right: Mikko Rantanen is MacKinnon merchant (Mac was on ice quite often when Mikko scored his amazing 12 points in just 7 games, 1st in points in the NHL playoffs (even though Dallas played without 2 x 1-liners). Thanks Mac!
