Utah Hockey Club Moves Up 10 Spots In NHL Draft To No. 4 Overall Pick
Utah Jazz have never won the NBA draft lottery since it began in 1985. It took the Utah hockey club just two tries to win. The pingpong ball bounced their way on the second drawing tonight at the NHL draft lottery. Fourth overall selection belongs to the Utah Hockey Club. Wow, that’s incredible. The Utah Hockey Club had the 14th best odds, a 1.5% chance to move up, and it happened after the Islanders won the first pick in the first drawing. Utah won the second drawing. But since they can only move up 10 spots, they will select fourth in the 2025 NHL draft that will be held on June 27th and 28th. Dumb NHL rule. GM Bill Armstrong calls this a game changer. We’re getting to that point where we’re we’re becoming a really good team that’s going to have a chance to get into the playoffs. And so, not only knowing that we have that in front of us with a really good team and some really good prospects coming, but the fact that we’re picking at four again and and and going into free agency, these are exciting times for Utah. However, Utah could only move up a maximum of 10 spots to the fourth overall selection.
Once the order was determined and the balls were pulled from the mechanism, Utah overcame the odds and moved up 10 spots to the No. 4 overall pick in the upcoming 2025 NHL draft.
