🚨BOMBSHELL REPORT: George Pickens To Cowboys Trade Happening SOON?! | Dallas Cowboys Trade Rumors

Good evening or I guess really good morning depending on which time zone you’re living in. Tom Downey here for the Cowboys report. We are talking about the George Pickins buzz rumors reports kind of news that’s going on right now. Details you need to know. Nothing official, but it very much sounds like a George Pickins trade to the Dallas Cowboys is happening. I’ll recap everything that’s kind of gone on over the past fourish hours, somewhere in that ballpark. But the biggest of which is this uh People’s Insider pretty ricky outright stating that the Cowboys are trading for George Pickkins in a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He tweeted that out in, you know, a little around uh 1:00 am Eastern time. That had come on the heels of him implying the Steelers were making a move and then really implying it was the Cowboys and Nick Harris, the Star Kog, you know, hours ago saying, “It’s not happening. Don’t worry about it.” And then him coming back a couple hours, you know, all of what maybe 15 minutes before the update from Ricky of I’m taking it all back. It certainly sounds like with CD Lamb applying implying it on social media as well. I have some screenshots here to show in the uh edited video too that George Pickins is going to end up being a Dallas Cowboy. I don’t know what the trade details are yet. I don’t know what the long-term outlook for Pickkins is. You know, that’s not official. It’s not done. But there is a even from Pittsburgh reporters, from some of the Cowboys reporters, too, massive amounts of smoke on a potential George Pickins trade with the Dallas Cowboys. I’ll recap everything we know so far, what I think of a potential deal. I am extremely curious uh about what the trade compensation is because that would very much have an impact in terms of how I feel. I think there are real issues and pros too, obviously from a sheer talent perspective about a potential picking trade. I’m a little surprised on the Pittsburgh side since, you know, they wanted another receiver, not just George Pickins, so they got DK Mechaf. Now they’re kind of right back where they started. But before we dive into all that, give me your oneword reaction uh to all this George Pickkins reports here. Let me know in the comments section of today’s show. It’s the pinned comment, so if the ad comes here on YouTube, take advantage of it. head down there and let me know. So, to recap what’s happened so far, and again, I’ll kind of shuffle in some of the screenshots of the tweets with my uh not normal video video editing software. It obviously there’s been a ton of previous buzz on George Pickkins and and the Cowboys in in the past of things having reports and talks and conversations. And then earlier uh Tuesday night, like around 900 p.m. Eastern time, Slick Rick tweets out uh it’s a big Steelers move coming. Now, what he did was the George Castanza leaving GIF. Very clear indication. Okay, it’s George Steelers. It’s George Pickkins. Now, you got to connect the dots there. Some people don’t like that. I get that. Several of the Cowboys reporters had kind of thrown cold water on this. You know, Nick Harrison tweeted out, you know, it’s not happening. Don’t worry about it. Clarence Hill said the exact same thing. And then CD Lamb tweets out the I think it’s the Ralph Wigghams gift from The Simpson of him just just waving. And then, you know, pretty Ricky aka Slick takes it a step further. Puts out the George Castanza hat photo, which is George Pickkins Cowboys hat. Come on. And then, you know, a little before 1:00 am Eastern time, Nick Harris kind of sends the gif of I’m taking it back on his previous tweet. Clear indication that there are conversations. There is smoke going on there now. Pretty Ricky saying AK slick groups. Slicker, it’s the same person. Cowboys are trading for their new number two receiver, George Pickkins. Deal should be announced on Wednesday. So maybe they’re still haggling over the contract or the uh compensation. I am extremely curious what that looks like. I have thoughts on that we’ll get to here in a little bit. But depending on when you’re watching this, it’s obviously, you know, it’s be like 1:45 Eastern by the time this video ends up getting out. We’re filming it before that. Obviously, you know, you might know if it a deal’s happen or not. Maybe there isn’t one yet. Maybe it’s still not quite finalized, but they’re working on it or I have to scrap the whole thing and no one sees it because they rap comes out and announces it, you know, 20 minutes after the video is out or something. this there’s a lot of smoke here and that was the even you know maybe talking to people uh who know Ricky better that was the implication the entire time. So um predictions now if this all goes out the window if you’re watching it afterwards obviously uh does this deal happen officially? Why for yes and for no? Let me know in the comments section of today’s show. Uh, by the way, big shouts to toddler Olivia for uh waking me up, getting me to check my phone when I’d gone to bed and seen the the updated side. I was just going to talk about it, you know, the normal 11 a.m. Eastern slot on Wednesday, but nah, lot more going on here. I am extremely curious, as I’ve said three times now, which is bad, uh, videoing, what the actual trade package is going to look like for George Pickkins, because I I I think that there were big disagreements between the Cowboys and Pittsburgh the first time around. Like, I don’t think Dallas wanted to move one of their day two picks. I I don’t think they wanted to. I think the value was too good in the draft. I didn’t really want them to at all either. And, you know, now you’re out of the draft. the future picks are not as valuable. I would love to have a day three pick for Pickkins. I want to keep my fourth round pick, which would be great. It’s probably asking for a little bit too much there. I do question what the proper value of a George Pickkins trade is. Is it really a first round pick or a second round pick, a third round pick for what I think should be treated as a rental? I Pickkins has been fine by the Steelers. He’s had some he doesn’t fit this Shotenheimimer, you know, kind of top end character guy that, you know, he’s had issues in Pittsburgh and often times when the receiver leaves Pittsburgh, they don’t get less crazy. Like those are all extremely valid red flags for me. Like I just is that how it’s going to go? Is it going to be good? Do you want to commit a premium asset to that? I actually don’t know if you should do that. Now, if you’re Pittsburgh, do you really want to trust Robert Woods and Roman Wilson and Bennett Scorronic and I’m drawing leaving out somebody’s name there as your number two receiver? I don’t think so. So, why would you give that guy away for next to nothing? Like, there’s a lot of I think uncertainty around what the trade package should look like, which makes me wonder, did the Cowboys send a player back, too? Could they move one of their wide receivers? You know, Tolbert would stand out to me because I doubt they’re going to admit they made a mistake with Mingo so quickly. I think all of those are options. Maybe that brings down your draft pick compensation, too. I am hesitant to commit to Pickkins as the number two just with some of the I think it’s more football character than like anything else. But just like the drops and the the the mental lapses and the sometimes the the discipline again, he’s been fine multiple times. Mike Tomlin straight up said he has to mature. I think the some of your veteran leaders on this team like Dak Prescott are probably a good thing uh for Pickkins to have. I I just I want to see what the trade package looks like assuming this gets finalized before I go, “Yeah, great trade, bad trade.” Like talent-wise, it’s a no freaking brainer. But it’s the other stuff in between that I’m like, “Okay, how does this actually play out in the end?” So, some final thoughts here to come, but what draft pick are you okay with giving up uh in a trade for George Pickkins? Let me know in the comments section of today’s show. Again, a reminder to sub if you have not already. We’ll have more updates on this that don’t come uh in my own basement at, you know, 1:30 a.m. Eastern time. I I’m open to it. I have I like the I’ll say this part, too. At least they’re doing something. You know, on one hand, and this is me talking through it, I can’t get mad for them not doing anything when they actually do something big. Like this is this I think would very this was very much one of your uh one of Jerry’s substantive trades they were working on, right? You know, Todd Archer had said, “Ah, you know, they had a talk. They had talks with an AFC North team. Those kind of fizzled out.” You know, I I want to see what the trade package looks like. I don’t want to give up a premium asset if I can avoid it. I don’t know if I can because if you’re Pittsburgh, like does that make the most sense for you? Like, do you want extra ammo to get a QB next year? Like, why’d you not take one this year? Had chances. I There’s a lot of elements that I think do have to be worked out here that I think will drastically impact what that trade package looks like. But in terms of the available, like actually available wide receiver two options, talent-wise, I don’t think there’s anybody better than George Pickkins. like he he fits as an outside receiver. The Cowboys don’t have that type of playmaker. I think he fits with with CD Lamb because everyone fits with CD Lamb, frankly, with what Lamb’s able to do. But I do just wonder like, okay, does this fit? You know, is is this too much extra diva stuff? That’s that’s the only thing that gives me pause and it’s frankly the only reason he’s available anyway. So, I am very curious how this all plays out. We will know more, I’m sure, in the not too distant future. So, make sure you guys are subscribed. Hit that sub button right now.

The Dallas Cowboys could be trading for Steelers’ WR very soon according to an internet rumor/report from ‘Slick Rick’ aka an underground NFL Twitter reporter. Rickey has broken several big NFL news stories over the past year and he claims that this Cowboys trade for Pickens could be announced on Wednesday. Dallas has been linked to wide receivers throughout the 2025 NFL Offseason, but have failed to get a true WR2 to pair with CeeDee Lamb thus far, but Pickens would be just that. 1. For Jerry, not you Tom🤮…. Pickens is NOT a big step above what we have… Sorry but that is a FACT!!!! Pickens is a problem child…… 10th round draft pick would be great in 2038!!!!

  2. Agent needs to be on phone with Pickens “son this could be your last go !”
We all hear of issues…..but really, what are his issues. Were they valid ?

  3. It seems that players always get traded for less than what us fans think. I mean for crying out loud we traded Amari Cooper for a 5th. So with that being said. Mingo+4th is my guess. Max is probably our 3rd.

  4. I can understand why the Steelers want to trade away a headache but as a Steelers fan, now we are the new team needing a good #2 receiver?

  5. Pittsburgh's OLine is young – but not very good. It's possible that Dallas sends TJ Bass (or another young but decent player like Brock Hoffman + a 4th round pick for Pickens).
