Unusual numbers for him. He’s one of the top pitchers in the game. And down goes Judge. Two-way. Swing and a miss. Sheets down on strike. Second strikeout for Freed. Swing and a miss. One, two, three inning for Freed. He strikes out two in the in 3-2. Well, Case looks sharp. Guy comes in with a 5.61 RA. That’s not the first two innings that we’re watching. And the lefty deals swing and a miss. Fourth strikeout. He got it with a swing and a miss on a 99 mph fast. Not going to be an easy play. Freed feels and flips the glove to Goldmith for out number one. Merrill hits one deep to right field and it is one nothing Padres’s. A bomb into the Yankee bullpen. That’s his second really good swing off a free last time in left center field. Cody Bellinger ran it down. This a breaking ball. 417 ft later. One to nothing San Diego. Swing and a miss. Down goes BBOS. Yankees no hits through five. One- nothing Padres’s lead. Swing and a miss. Merryill down on strikes. Strike three. Clips the inside corner with a fast ball. Swing and a miss on the slider. Judge strikes out for the third time tonight when the Padres’s are leading in the seventh inning. They were 23-0 before last night because their bullpen is so effective when the Yankees scored the 10 in the bottom of the seventh inning to give them their first loss. Fly ball center field deep going back Bellinger. He’s got room though and in front of the track he makes the play for the final out. So Freed retires the Padres’s in order to one two. So here is [Music] Bellinger. Ball fouled away. Just 81 pitches for [Music] CE. Boy, his fast ball has been 98 99. And mixed with that killer slider, he’s he’s got the arsenal tonight. He’s tried to throw a few knuckle curves just to to keep hitters honest, but really hasn’t used it much. It’s been basically high fast balls. High drive right field. Tatis back walking up. See youa. Second deck, first hit, first run. 1-1 here in the Bronx. [Applause] [Music] Well, one swing, Michael, when you got a tie ball game. Cody Bellinger, a ball up in the strike zone, if not up out of the strike zone for his fifth home run of the year. Tie this game up. That’s a proper way to break up a no hitter. Yeah. Well, it breaks a shut out. No hitter does it all in one swing in the bat. And there’s a walk to Machado. So, two walks by Hamilton. And that’ll bring up the dangerous youngster Jackson Merrill. And uh Boon’s going to take the ball from Hamilton. Lined into left center field. That is going to be in there for a base hit. Tati scores. The throw comes into second. Machado moves to third. It’s an RBI single for Merrill and San Diego leads two to one. Well, you hear the cheering here at Yankee Stadium as the Knicks just beat Boston 91 to 90 in game two, shocking wow the NBA world. The defending champs lost the first two games of that series on their home court. And once again, the Knicks storm back from a big deficit. Lined into center field off the bat of Bogarts. Catch is made by Bellinger tagging Machado and the throw is cut off. Sackfly for Bogarts. It’s 3-1 Padres’s. High drive to right field. Judge back on the track near the wall. Puts it away for the final out. Sheets is retired and a [Music] [Applause] [Music] walk. High drive right field. Tatis back. Turning looking. See youa. Pinch hit it. Two-run home run for Gisham. And the game is tied at [Applause] three. Gisham, his 10th of the year. Another change up from Adam. And you know what? If you see it enough, you’ll make an adjustment. The old one foul and he tiger. Big big pitch here for the It is May 7th and he has already surpassed his home run total. Wow. This is a stiff front swing, but he knew where it was going. You saw his reaction. Second deck. The pitch. Fly ball center field. Bellinger is there and Weaver does not have to face Tatis. Devin Williams had a rough outing on Monday and all thought was that he was going to end up being in a low leverage situation. That’s not what this is. Runners at second base. The inherited runners starting extra innings and the first pitch to Tahis is a strike. So Lockidge pins running for Maldonado. And we talked about it earlier in the key to the game, Mike. They might be a little bit short in the pin because Cruz and Hill both backto-back days. So you had not you not we’re going to use them tonight and you use Hamilton and you use Weaver. So now you’ve got uh Williams in a spot that I don’t know that Aaron Boon wanted him to be in. Lockage leads off second. Swing and a miss. Great change up. Tatis down on strikes. One away and Arise works a walk and now you face the dangerous Manny Machado. A long set and the one two swing and a miss. Got him on the change. Two away. A big strike out of Machado and that hit him. That’s going to load the bases as Merrill hit by a pitch. There’s a strike and the pitch. That change up is working tonight. Two outs. The runners will go from each base. Yeah, he has not been able to control that fast ball. Looks like he’s trying to overthrow it. So, you might as well go to your best. And that’s the change up here. 3-2 [Applause] Swedish. Got him on the chains and Williams is pumped up as he strides off the mound. He threw him the change. Bogart swings over the top. The Padres’s leave the bases loaded and the Yankees have a chance to win it in the bottom of the 10th. Padres’s expecting bunt. They’re in at the corners and there’s a bunt toward third. Perfect bunt and the sacrifice successful. Well, they are going to send up JC Escara to pinch it for PZA. Winning runs at third. Fly ball left field. This should get it done. Hayward back. Still back. He makes the catch, tagging Dominguez. He’ll score. It’s a walk-off sack fly. And the Yankees win four to three in 10 innings. and take the series from San Diego. Wow, you can only be happy for a Scar down to one strike. He put it in play the other way. Fans are going crazy. This is some story, some game, Michael. New York two and over tonight.
