While Skinner Struggles, Let’s Not Forget Darnell Nurse Plays Defense in Front of Him

Nurse swimming on the ice for 3 goals last night. It’s an interesting technique from the 9 million dollar d-man.
It’s better than him standing around like he used to do
Skinner is going to get the most flak (goaltender things) but in reality, everyone on the ice helped contribute to that goal, and Nurse I think is the most culpable.
He just laid there and took it
1. Odd man rush that he plays pretty well and they eventually score when Bouchard doesn’t take his man.
2. Odd man rush after a terrible line change.
3. I will give you the last one, but it’s just as much on the rest of the players on the ice, they all got caught puck watching.
Can we stop blaming individuals and start looking at the whole picture. Teams need to defend as a TEAM.
He gets paid more than Cale makar

The oilers are so over rated
My wife asked me last night if I were to magically suddenly appear take over the body for an NHL player what would I do. This was pretty much my answer.
To be fair, he also plays defense in front of Calvin Pickard, and they won 6 straight with him. Just playing devils advocate.

As a sens fan, Nurse clearly loves watching Travis Hamonic play and has taken to his style of laying on this ice, usually in the way of the goalie trying to make an easy save
Until the league commits to better officiating, teams should adopt the Nurse style of defending, where you aim for a two handed cross check across the shoulders, that somehow lands on the neck.
I’d rather have an actual nurse on my team
I like how the Oilers consistently have the same exact problems every year but never make any changes to address those problems.
He has done this his entire career
Nurse is bad and Skinner is bad can both be true
Nurse is overrated, underperforming, and useless on the defensive front.
Guy should be a wing of the 4th line scratched every other game making league minimum.
He’s at best a #3 defender, and okay for the PP
Nurse has been taking “Lay it on the line” a bit too literally
I do kinda feel for Skinner. Been catching a lot of flack for that last second goal. But the Oilers had 4 guys hovering around their own goal line. You’d think someone would have their head on a swivel looking for the trailer

Must be hard trying to block ecery single shot because your goalie can’t stop a beach ball
