Swings and misses strike three. Backto back Kes Colin Ray. It’s a nice pitch. Yeah, it’s a real good pitch after MV pops the ball up, pulls foul, pulls a string on him here with a good breaking ball. That’s just a case of, oh, you want to get out in front of my fast ball. I’m going to change speeds on you and put a little wrinkle in something you especially when you get traded away. There’s always that feeling that you want to do something a little bit something special. Hello, John Birdie. But that John Birdie, former Marlin look out first away. 3-2 towards second over Nico’s glove and it’s into right field. So Hicks to third Edwards extends the cow gets a single and now first and third for the Marlins. Go back to first. Got him. Colin Ray Nifty picks off Xavier Edwards still on first base. They’ll take a look or at least see if they’ll take a look. Nope. Pick up ends the inning. Nice job, Colin Ray. Here it is. Pretty middle three. No score. Gansby was struggling. Here’s a pitch that looks like a strike out of the hand. It’s coming in the middle of the zone and it just finishes that that pitch finishes 3 4 in off the plate. Little sweeper and boom, drive it. We’ve got back to that up in the strike zone. Nice play though. Nico out the left right as we were singing Nico her praises beat off single here in the fifth. That’s a lot more RBI’s than the average team. Take it outside throw to second. Wait, just a wonderful jump by Nico and Dansby. You saw he was willing to give up if that was a strike. No problem. He just clearly saw that Nico got an unbelievable jump. time that well, no play whatsoever at second base. Now you got a runner in scoring position. I guarantee you Nancy Swanson’s thinking one thing. I’m hitting that ball the right side of you. Watch those old Tom Aansky videos on how to steal bases. You know, just look at Nicoer right there. Marlin struggle in that capacity. That’s hit well deep left. Sters to the wall. It is gone. by Danby Swanson. The high hit continues. Ninth homer of the year. Two-run blast. It is two to nothing Cubs. strike zone and you want to get ahead in the count to hammer underneath the glove of Paulie and it’s down the left field hole heading for second and he gets to second. Kyle Tucker round second on the third. It’s an RBI triple. You want payback? You want to throw one at my head? I know it wasn’t on purpose. Listen, they get away every once in a while, but guess what? I get squirly, too. Time now for the Motorola Razor replay. And you see Kyle Tucker just stays back. It’s five to nothing. Oh yeah. This home run is brought to you by Hefty. Hefty. Hefty. Ultra strong. Ultra low price. What wasn’t ultra low was that far off the bat of Suzuki absolutely scorched joining the home run party that Danby Swanson said earlier in the inning. And he says, “Let’s go ahead and raise the roof, folks.” Ray delivers Tucker. Wow. 8 years. That’s the greatest sports championship number one. Alan Ray dealing. Six scoreless innings. Nicely done. Tough to get Nico on that, but he does. Defense continues to sparkle. do that, you’ll get the out. Eric Hill up to left field. It’s back. It’s gone. And the Marlins are on the board. Home run number two for Derek Hill. That ball’s about to be thrown back and right on Q it is, but it’s a 5-2 game. And this is just a pitch that goes right down the middle. Belt high onto the top of the strike zone. Unfortunate for Colin Ray to give that ball up, break up a shut out, but boy was he good tonight. Deno backand sticely done. Daniel Palencia cuz it kind of hard to go two break 32 break. What about Don 99? Can’t hit it. Good luck. That’s a foul off pitch. That’s all you’re going to do. Now cheering for Daniel Palencia. One two delivery. Got him. That was pretty. Pump me up. Danny P. 52 Cubs. And that’s the guy that is going to say sent you over the top. He just painted a fast ball. Called third strike. Perfect pitch. Drew Palmer. One away. Yeah. And I mean if he’s doing this where it’s 93 94 mph with that leverage pop up the center to us payoff. Got him through first save since 2020. Fly the W. Go Cubs go Cubs win. And guess what Ryan Dempster Sing it again. What do you say? Heat. Heat.

  1. In the next 21 games, the Cubs need to go 15 and 6 to stay on top of the division and gain group on the Brewers and the Cards.

  2. Their next 6 to 7 games are against the Marlins and White Sox!!!! Two of Baseball 's most terrible teams, besides the Rockies and Pirates. They should sweep both of them and not break a sweat!!!!! TOO EASY!!!!!!!
