Pitching matchup tonight. Ben Brown for the Cubs was very, very good. Uh but unfortunately, the offense did not support him. Uh Bologo went four innings, four hits, two runs, one earned, two Ks, a walk, and a home run to PC Ca for the Marlins. Ben Brown for the Cubbies. Five and a third, five hits, two runs there earned, six Ks did not walk. A man did allow one home run, but I like that he’s not walking people. But then Theobbar comes in and gets the job done. And then Merryweather comes in in the seventh inning. PCA had tied the game. It was one- nothing Marlins. It’s 1-1. It’s 2-1 Marlins. PCA sack fly. It’s 2-2. So the dude is delivering again. And then Merryweather comes in and he was terrible. Absolutely terrible. But something’s going on with him. Uh, I won’t be surprised if we hear something about his health because his velocity was not where it normally is. It just he doesn’t look right to me. But in the seventh inning, top seven, Merryweather in Connor Norby. Boom. Home run to left. It’s 3-2. Derek Hill bloop hit. Derek Hill steals second. Then a line out to Seiya in left. And then a fly out to Seiya in left. And then a base hit. Derrick Hill scores. It’s a 42 ball game. It stays that way till the bottom of inning number nine. In comes their closer, Jesus Tanelco. He’s not a swing and miss type guy. He’s more of a pitch to contact type guy. Carson Kelly, an infield hit. Danby Swanson a walk. And then a key play that no one’s going to talk about. Moises Bisteros had to be nervous. He’s making his major league debut. Mom, dad, and brother are in the stands. He’s just been called up. He’s like the second youngest guy in the big leagues. And Moises Bisteros hits a ground ball the second. And this big body dude is hustling down the line. Beats the throw to keep it from being a double play. That was a massive, massive play. That is just playing winning freaking baseball. Bruhan pinch runs for Bastos. Nico her base hit to center. Bruhan all the way to third. Carson Kelly scores. It’s a 4-3 game. And then here comes Justin Turner. And how many of you out there have been posting on social media cuz you tag me and a billion of them. DFA him. He’s terrible. DFA him. It’s May freaking 13th. He’s a professional hitter. The guy’s won championships. Jesus, would you just please allow things to play out the way people out there want a DFA? We’d have nobody left on the freaking roster. Oh my god. DFA Merryweather, DFA Presley, DFA Turner, folks. That’s not how it goes. Let things play out. And guess what Justin Turner does? Boom. Double down the left field line. Ball game over.   3. Who in there right mind will Dfa Turner. He is amazing clubhouse guy who help PCA. You need experience in the clubhouse. Justin Turner can play back up to Michael Bushe

  15. Yes, great win, BUT lots of work to do with the bullpen and offense. They need to clean up with this "weak schedule" in the next few weeks. (Who dresses Kap? Jesus. The anti-Mr. Blackwell.)

  17. I knew we were going to win, I kept calling it and predicted the walk off. We mustn't forget, regardless of the records of these teams we are playing these are still the best baseball players in the world. Which is why it's called the Major leagues aka the Big Show.

    Kyle Tucker he has lifted this Cubs team up to a different level. I hope the Cubs pay the Man to finish his career with the Cubs.
    The last time I can remember a player leveling up the Cubs play like this was the Great Andre Dawson.

  24. Kappy … the same people that keep calling for Turner to be DFA'd in early May are the kind of people that pay $130 for a ticket to a game and "boooooo" the throw to first. Don't pay to go see a baseball game and then boo when baseball happens. The throw to first is part of the game. Drives me nuts.

Gonna be great watching the game tonight but even better is that we have a double-header with the Cards against Phillies elite starters. Back to back losses for the Birds will be icing on the cake.   29. That’s exactly why you keep a guy like Turner on the team. He’s clutch. Don’t worry about his BA because he’s the exact type of hitter you want hitting in the clutch come the postseason. Let’s Go Cubbies!!

  30. Love ya Kap, but you're being results oriented with Justin Turner. The fact remains that he has been atrocious this year. Father time is undefeated and it's quite apparent that age has caught up with him both offensively and defensively.
