Kasperi Kapanen ends the series in OVERTIME! Edmonton ADVANCES!

[Applause] here’s Pulson across tricle
saucer nurse a shot deflected kills it’s   loose it’s in and has won the game and
the series caspberry keen in overtime it was the play by Pod Coulson on
the line little stop up inside gave   him a little bit of time as the
Vegas Golden Knights track back a   little too deep and it was Didle that
eventually gets this puck and makes a play all about getting a puck to the net getting
traffic in front and jamming away nice pass by   Walden that stop up by Possen gives him a little
bit of time and he finds dry side the quick wrist   by Darns hard off the back wall and Casper
Kappan injected in game number four for some   life scores the biggest goal of his career as
he jams away and finds this one over the line   to win the series for Edmonton kapidan’s last
playoff game before game four was game seven   it went to overtime and his Pittsburgh Penguins
who had been tied late by the Rangers fell to   the Rangers and that propelled New York into
a deep run kappan did not play in fact had not   scored a goal since January 23rd prior to that one
finding the back of the net casper Kapan with his   first goal in 33 games ends the game ends the
series and Edmonton gains a measure of revenge   for their heartbreaking 2023 playoff defeat at
the hands of Vegas and a lot of respect between   these two guys right here jack Eel number one and
two McDavid and Eichel in 2015 went head-to-head   in this series and some real battles throughout
petrangelo was a warrior missed game one came in   game two and was a force for Vegas defensively
and offensively these two teams left it on the ice there’s some respect there too those two
had that interaction last time they met in the   playoffs that led to a suspension for Petrangelo
for the slash on dry cidle when the final buzzer   goes and the game’s over a lot of respect
between these two teams heavyweights in the   Pacific division that know they’re going
to see each other for a long time coming boy for a fivegame series Louie what
thrills what chills what tension and   what competition i mean that’s a fivegame
series you and I probably feel like it went   12 and we saw Steuart Skinner and Aiden Hill
shaking hands there too backto back shutouts   for Steuart Skinner in games four and five
to close out this series aiden Hill with   his best performance of the series as
well both goalenders were great in this

Kasperi Kapanen is the latest Edmonton Oiler to play the hero, this time beating Adin Hill in OVERTIME to give the Oilers a 4-1 series WIN over the Vegas Golden Knights, and advance to the WESTERN CONFERENCE FINAL!

  1. Little did Vegas fans realize that when their team scored with 00.4 seconds left to win game three that would be the last goal they would score in the series.

  2. For the integrity of hockey, it is always a good thing when Vegas loses. But for the integrity of hockey it is always a bad day when Corey Perry wins. And with Florida on the verge of advancing, the year is shaping up to once again reward the teams that have horrific people on their rosters.

  3. At least the Kings can say they did better against Edmonton than Vegas did 😅 If Skinner keeps playing like this, Edmonton has a real shot at bringing Lord Stanley back to Canada.

  4. I am and always will be an Oilers fan, but to all of you putting Skinner on a pedestal, just remember it was PICKS that got us here with his 6-0 win streak. Not Skinner!
    GOOOO OILERS!

  5. Both teams were scoreless on the power play and in regulation time. Both goalies stood on their heads to make that happen. The Knights were blanked by the Oilers for 127 minutes. And a right-winger without a single point in the playoffs merely does his job, and scores the game-winner in Overtime. The Knights' season is over. The Oilers still need to improve, especially with the man-advantage, but they will be working on that in the next round. So go, Oilers.
