Dallas Cowboys Record Prediction After 2025 NFL Schedule Release

Welcome back into the Cowboys Report. I am Tom Downey. As promised, we’re doing our record prediction on today’s show. We will go game by game, breaking down the Cowboys schedule, which features a bit of a gauntlet down the stretch this year. Now, if you are like me and you are excited about Cowboys football being back in what will be a longer time than what we would would prefer, obviously, then like the video. If you are excited about the Cowboys football season coming up here, like the video for me right now. One quick note I want to get into since we did the leaked version of the schedule hours before it officially came out. The preseason schedule never leaks early. Uh, Cowboys at the Rams August 8th. That’s going to be the They’re going to probably do joint practice again against LA going into that and and stick around in LA. Go to Oxnard for one more week, then come back home to wrap up the preseason. That’s a Saturday game on the 8th. Saturday, home against the Ravens on the 16th. And then Friday, home against the Falcons at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. So, that is your preseason schedule. Yes, we will be live for those games. All right, the 2025 schedule just briefly one time through in case you missed it yesterday. Now with the finaliz, excuse me, prime time games. Week one at the Eagles Thursday night. Giants week two, that is a 1 p.m. game. Week three at the Bears 4:25. Week four home against the Packers Sunday night football. Week five. Week six on the road Jets and Panthers that 100 p.m. noon central time slot. Week seven home against Washington 4:25. Week eight at Denver. Week nine, home against the Cardinals. Monday Night Football. I think a pretty good buy in week 10. I I like that buy slot. I think it’s a lot better than like a week six, week seven buy, which is just too early for for my blood. Week 11 at the Raiders on Monday Night Football. That was the Monday Night Football game. Packers, our predictions were right in that leaked video. Week 12 against the Eagles. That’s going to be the 425 Fox game of the year basically for them. Week 13, Chiefs Thanksgiving. Week 14, Lions, Thursday Night Football on the road. Week 15, home against the Vikings, Sunday Night Football. Week 16 against the Chargers. Week 18 or week 17, excuse me, at the Commanders, Christmas Day. And then week 18 at the Giants, TBD, what day that ends up being on. That’s week 18 is all flex scheduling for the NFL. So, I will go game by game here in just a second, but what do you think the Cowboys record is going to be in 2025? It is the pinned comment on today’s show. So, if the ad comes here on YouTube, take advantage of it. Head down there and let me know. Let’s go game by game. Week one at the Eagles Thursday Night Football. This is a tough test. It is the first game of the season. I think the Eagles are correctly favored by seven points. I’ve got Philadelphia winning this one. I’ll do score predictions. It’s just kind of like I threw numbers and said it’s just went with the vibes. Like I’m never gonna get any of those right. It’s impossible. 2820. I think the Cowboys compete. They hang around. I think Philadelphia coming off the Super Bowl with uncertainties on your defense with probably no Trayvon Digs. No to Marvin Overshone. I do think Philadelphia wins that game. Week two, Giants. By the way, none of the Cowboys Giants games are currently slated to be prime time matchups. First time I think since like 2000 or something that that’s happened. They almost always in prime time. I’m kind of glad they’re not in prime time. I think Dallas kicks the crap out of the Giants. This happens every year. The Cowboys own the Giants. As long as the quarterback’s healthy, this been dominance. I think it will be dominance again in week two. I think kind of a pivotal week three matchup. Both Cowboys and Bears are going to harbor playoff hopes this year. This could matter a lot for tiebreaking, could matter a lot for seeding stuff. I have the Cowboys beating the Bears on the road in Chicago. 2724 does come down to the wire. I have Dallas picking up a win on that one in that one if I want to use words right. Week four home against the Packers. Sunday Night Football. This has been a boogeyman along with the 49ers as of late. How about the Cowboys win a in a thriller? Cowboys take down Green Bay week four at home. If this had been a road game, I would have picked Green Bay uh at home with I think still uncertainty around like what’s the Packers passing offense going to look like and Cowboys defense uncertainty. Give me the Cowboys in what I think will end up being an upset once the Lions come out closer to, you know, September. Cowboys 3 and one after the first quarterish of the season. Today’s show is made possible by the Hall of Fame app. The boys and I love our good group chat daily uh baseball moneyline bets and the Hall of Fame app has been essential for me having a lot of success because I’m the one using the Hall of Fame app. You too can give a leg up on Vegas by using historical data, matchup grades, leg correlation tools, and player performance insights. Appreciate the Hall of Fame app sponsoring us here on the Cowboys Report. Let’s go to week five at the New York Football Jets. I went with the upset prediction in week four. Every single year, the Cowboys have the well, they got too confident, have a terrible letdown game, which happens to like every NFL team. I think it’s going to be the Jets this week, which happened once previously. It was like the one good Sam Darnold game up in New York. Uh I think this is a offense just kind of looks out of sync. The defense lets Justin Fields run for like 125 yards. We’ve seen that story before, too. I think the Jets pull off an upset and the Cowboys drop to three and two. Week six at the Carolina Panthers. Let’s get back on track then. Kind of an ugly game. Not pretty. Cowboys kind of just trying to to salvage right the ship after back-to-back or in the middle of back-to-back road games. I’ve got them with a weird score, too. 258 because again, you got to put some weird scores in otherwise what’s the point. Uh Dallas then improves to four and two entering a pivotal week seven matchup against the Washington Commanders back at home. A key game in terms of NFC East hopes and whatnot. I do think the Commanders will play better against the Cowboys than what they did last year. I also saw Cooper Rush essentially beat them and they should have won both those games. They hadn’t kind of choked it away at the end which you know ended up being fine for drafting purposes. I think the Cowboys win a thriller 26-23. I think it will be a very competitive game. Hopefully, honestly, better games than like both those first two Cowboys Commanders games were kind of boring until like the final couple minutes. They were just kind of unusual games and kind of sloppy early on. Give me the Cowboys to win that one. So, they said five and two after the first seven weeks. We are 528 subs. I didn’t mean to do five and two and 528 there. I was complete happen stance. Uh, hit that sub button if you haven’t already. Get free Cowboys videos each and every single day, including a live show later today. We’re bringing back the Madden Sims. Week eight at the Denver Broncos. And I People like Denver could be your surprise loss. I’m like, Denver won 10 games last year in playoffs. Like I I got Denver winning this one on the road. Kind of like the opposite of the of the Packers game. If this game had been at home, I would have flipped it and probably gone like 2317 Cowboys win. I’ve got Denver winning. So, the Cowboys sit at 5 and three, entering their final game before the buy. And I think given the upcoming schedule you get after this, it’s kind of a gauntlet really outside of maybe week 11. I think you need to meet Kyler Murray in in in Dallas. I I think you need to make that happen. I think you have to get a win here. I think the Cowboys do. Arizona going to harbor playoff hopes. I don’t believe they’re a true playoff contender. Give me Dallas to win. So, they’re six and three and that gets them to the buy and maybe around this time you can get Trayvon Diggs healthy. You can get Dear and Overstone healthy. That might be a good overunder date for Overstone in particular, too, by the way. So, week 10, give them a win during Dubai. They they get healthy. Week 11 at the Raiders on Monday Night Football. Still got visions of the Derek Carr game dancing in my head forever. This is a road game. I think Dallas wins pretty easily. I I don’t The Raiders will be more competitive than what they were last year. I don’t think they’re going to be a very good team this season still. I think they’re going to be at best 500. Give me the Cowboys to win uh on the road at to then set up kind of a tight turnaround. They then go from Monday Night Football to Sunday afternoon home. Uh this is part of the gauntlet you get here, by the way, at at home against the Eagles. I think the Cowboys Eagles split this year, which is I’d say what they’ve done when the quarterbacks, but they’ve never actually been healthy. Uh, this will be the in theory this will be the fifth time that these two teams get their starting QBs healthy since Herz took over as the starting QB. Give me Dallas in another thriller in week 12. Now, I want honest answers on this next question. Who wins the NFC East? PHI for the Eagles, W for the Commanders, D for the Dallas Cowboys, NYG for the Giants. Let me know in the comments section of today’s show. So, Cowboys sit 8 and three. Got to figure they’re two wins away from a playoff spot. Well, Gauntlet is here, by the way. Week 13, home against the Chiefs in what I think will go down as the most viewed regular season game in NFL history. 41.2 million mark will be broken in this one. Chiefs win. I think they’re a better team. I I question if the defense is going to be able to hang with a potentially better Chiefs offense this season. Give me the Chiefs to win that one. And then Dallas, as they often do, play Sunday, Thursday, Thursday. Week 14 at the Detroit Lions. Uh not not as uh much of a blowout as it I think was last year. I don’t think it’ll be as big this year. I do think the Lions win this one. I’m not I’m not convinced on Detroit this season. Um, but I know there’s still some bad blood from the Lions for stupid reasons, and this will be their Super Bowl again. Uh, give me the Lions to win 29 to 20. So, now you’re 8 and five. Got to close out strong here. Week 15, home against the Vikings on Sunday Night Football. I’m curious how JJ McCarthy looks at this point. Should have the best version of him so far that season. Give me Dallas still. Give me Dallas to win 2420, which very well could have significant playoff and seeding implications. Week 16 home against the Chargers. And this could end up going down of like, okay, finally a non solo window, non-prime time window game. The Cowboys, by the way, after week nine or through week nine and week 17, all but two of their games are solo window games. It’s it’s insanity. I got the Chargers winning this one. And I went back and forth with like, do I give the win to the Chargers? Do I give the win to the Vikings? This stretch is really hard. I think that’s gonna kind of take a toll on the Cowboys since all they’re doing is playing teams here. Eagles, Chiefs, Lions, Vikings, Chargers, and then the Commanders in week 17. And I think it’d be super cool um if the Cowboys won cuz I I want to have a good Christmas and not, you know, leave my wife and family, you know, 9:00 a.m. to go get ready for the Cowboys game and barely have enough time for presents, then come back and be like, “Yeah, the Cowboys lost and be be miserable.” I think the Commanders are going to win, though. I don’t think you sweep the Commanders this year. I I think you split. Now, again, all this assume is mostly health. Like, if knock on wood, one of the QB is hurt, changes everything. That puts the Cowboys at 9 and seven entering week 18 against a Giants team that I don’t think will have anything to play for and might have already fired their head coach GM and this is a blowout in in this scenario of the Cowboys are playing for a playoff spot and they got to beat the lowly Giants. Give me the Cowboys in a blowout win. So that puts them at 10 and seven. Do you think the Cowboys make the playoffs this season? Why for yes and for no? sound off for me in the comments section of today’s show. So, my way too early Cowboys record prediction, Dallas goes 10 and seven. That is significantly more than the current seven and a half over on the win total projections there. I think 10 wins is just enough for a playoff spot. Maybe it’s the six, maybe it’s the seven. We know what could end up happening come playoff time, but I think that should be your realistic goal for Dallas. I don’t think anyone believes they’re real Super Bowl contenders with this tough of a schedule, especially late. But playoffs, ye yes or no? Truly the deciding factor for success of a season. Yes or no?

The Dallas Cowboys 2025 Schedule came out on Wednesday night as the Cowboys look to return to the NFL Playoffs in the first season under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer. But even though the Cowboys play a 3rd place schedule, this year’s schedule is HARD. A gauntlet must be run by the Cowboys down the stretch this season. Can Dak Prescott stay healthy and help guide the Cowboys back to the postseason? Cowboys Report host Tom Downey has his Dallas Cowboys record prediction after the 2025 NFL schedule release.

  1. Lions still think they were cheated on that bad call … even though they know from replays that they also got the previous call wrong and had they not … none of that would matter. Haterzzz

  2. I have a couple games predicted differently but the same record, 10-7. With their schedule, I think that has to be considered a really good season.

  3. Just tell me what year since 2016 that Dak has played the entire year & they’ve only won 9/10 games? Have faith! You’ve said KC will b favored on Thanksgiving without knowing how their year will be. It’s 1 thing 2 b honest, but another 2 have no faith! 12-5….

  4. With virtually any improved injury luck on defense and assuming Dak starts every game I think this team is capable of winning 10 games. Feels like they replaced a bunch of depth and actually added a few impact guys this offseason
