Eagles, Chiefs & Cowboys SCHEDULE WIN PREDICTIONS 🏈 | NFL Live

Welcome to NFL Live, everybody. The 2025 NFL schedule officially has been released. Look at that. Has been released. Big letters. I love it. It comes out swinging early. Some heavy hitter matchups. The defending champs are hosting the Cowboys. The Chiefs headed to Brazil taking on the Chargers. And so much more. We’re glad you’re with us today. We got Mina Kim, Brian Clark, Adam Sheper along for the ride. There’s a lot to get to you guys. So, let’s talk about the games we’re most excited. Mina, kick us off. What stuck out to you? I’m going to start with an easy one. Week one, Ravensvilles. I mean, come on, right? You’ve got the reigning MVP versus the guy who almost won MVP. So, you could argue it’s a revenge game for Lamar, but it’s also a revenge game for these Buffalo Bills because last time they played in the regular season, the Ravens went into Buffalo and stomped on them. So, I’m really excited to see these two teams face off. Should be two of the best teams in the AFC. a test immediately for both squads ahead of the season. Well, you know, I tried to give Lidell like six other games before we finally got to this one, but apparently all of those games were already in the rundown. So, I went all the way to Christmas to to the Commanders and the Cowboys. Again, Mina Kimes last year showed out for the family on Netflix and I can’t wait to see where the Cowboys are in this gauntlet of games they have after week 11. And we know that Jaden Daniels made his name down the stretch of last season and we get to see him as a gift on Christmas from Old Staint Nick. All right. The last time the Cowboys played in Philadelphia in week one was 1970, 55 years ago. It came at Franklin Field. The last year before the Eagles moved into the vet, which they’re no longer at. Well, the Cowboys, for the first time in 55 years, are back in Philadelphia in week one. It’s the Thursday night opener. It’s the kickoff to the whole season. It gets us ready for all these other games that we’re talking about. So, Cowboys and Eagles week one. Let’s go, baby. Oh, let’s go. I love that, Adam. Uh, I’m excited for Bears and Commanders week six on Monday Night Football. The quarterback matchup. It’s always going to be a fascinating connection between Caleb Williams and Jaden Daniels going one and two overall in the 2024 NFL draft. But remember last year it was the crazy Hail Mary to win that game for the Commanders really changed trajectories of both of those team seasons. So can’t wait to see that one once again and it’ll be right here on ABC and ESPN. Now speaking of Monday Night Football, here’s a look at the full schedule. We’re going to have a total of 23 games across our ESPN family of networks, ABC, ESPN Plus, and ESPN, including double headers in week 2, week four, week six, week seven, and the final week of the season. Mina, when you look at that schedule in its entirety, what stands out to you about Monday Night Football? I’m really interested in Philadelphia traveling to Green Bay, a rematch of last week’s week one game in Brazil. Um, and you remember that game? Of course, Jordan Love got hurt. We were worried he was out for the season. He came back, but it kind of felt like the Packers had ups and downs after that point. These are two very good teams. I think teams a lot of us expect obviously to be in the playoffs next year. The Eagles being the reigning Super Bowl champs. So, it’s a big test for a young Green Bay team that is going to be looking to get over the hump of losing the playoffs last season. You know what? It’s also always exciting to see the teams that earn their way on to Monday night. Look at the Carolina Panthers. Think about where we all were in Philadelphia. I believe it was early on in the season, maybe week two or three. And we were talking about Bryce Young maybe never getting another opportunity to be the starting quarterback for the Carolina Panthers. But we’re going to see them on Monday Night Football versus the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara. And then also, you think about some of these other teams like Chargers Eagles. The Chargers trying to ascend. They go, they get a running back early on in this draft. And now you have Jim Harbaugh with his opportunity to truly put his imprint on this team against the defending champion. And I think what’s big for me as well is the Cowboys. The Cowboys before their buy, they’re on Monday Night Football. And then in week 11, they come back and they’re on Monday Night Football. And then they start a gauntlet of games that gives them six games in less than a month. So if they don’t play big on that Monday night, right after their buy, it could be downhill for Jerry and America’s team. And we’re going to see some teams on Monday night that we don’t ordinarily see. You mentioned the Carolina Panthers, the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football. And clearly the league believes in the Atlanta Falcons this year because they’re scheduled for two home games on Monday Night Football. Five prime time games in all. So, the Falcons liked Michael Pennix at number eight in last year’s draft and so did the NFL apparently by scheduling the Falcons as often as they have in prime time. Go Falcons. Love it. Little Star Wars from the Eagles. Hey, uh, week two features a rematch of the Super Bowl Eagles and Chiefs. What a showdown this will be. Of course, early on, too. Patrick Mahomes, Jaylen Herz on either side, but you also have a Philly defense that’s hoping for significant contributions from young guys. Many others departing. of course a KCO line. They’ve tried to rebuild this off season to protect Patrick Mahomes. And it’s just the third time that teams that met in the previous Super Bowl faced each other in the first two weeks of a season. The others were in week 1 2016 when the Broncos beat the Panthers after winning the Super Bowl 50 and week two 1993 when the Bills beat the Cowboys after losing Super Bowl 27 by 35 points. So, we thought we’d have some fun today. Okay. with the defending champs. RC, let’s play the predictor game for the Eagles season. Take us through each week and give us the wins and losses and I’m gonna populate it on the iPad right here. So, um, if I don’t like what you pick, I’m going to change it. Just kidding. Okay, here we go. All right, we’re going with game one. I’m going to go with the Eagles. Listen, it’s going to be rocking in that stadium. They’re going to be in Philly. They’re going to be representing themselves as the reigning defending Super Bowl champs. I give them a win. They’re gonna go to Kansas City and we’re gonna find out very early Kansas City can protect Patrick Mahomes. I’m gonna say they start the season out one and one. I give him a win over the Rams. I give him a win at the Bucks. I give him a win over the Broncos. I give him a win over the Giants. But at the Vikings, JJ McCarthy’s going to just get to cooking. Kevin O’Connell is going to be in his bag a little bit. We know what that defense is going to look like. I’m going to give them a L against the Vikings because I remember a prime time game a couple of years ago that had Jaylen Herz and AJ Brown face to face ready to do a little dance and the Giants. Okay, we know that’s another win. Monday Night Football at the Packers. This one’s tricky. This gets tricky, but I’m going to give them a loss at the Packers. They’re going to find a way to avenge their loss in the playoffs. A win on Sunday night versus the Lions. A win against the Cowboys in week 12. I believe we have that game. A win against the Bears. Ooh. At Chargers Monday Night Football. That’s going to be a L. That’s going to be a L for Philadelphia. I think Justin Herbert will be cooking. Jim Hall understands prime time games. A win against the Raiders. Uh, let’s go. Loss at Commanders, win against the Nope. Loss against the Bills, win against the Commanders at home to finish the season. 116. Mina, what do you think? That’s right. I don’t know if that’s right. What do you think? I’m going to hit the over on Ryan’s win total. His a few of those losses. Uh I do think the beginning of the schedule is real tricky, right? Because Ryan, if I have one question about this team, it’s the change of coordinator. You got some tricky defenses there that like to do interesting things with pressure. So, you could get us a couple of surprising losses. You did the Chiefs. I’m looking at like the Broncos and the Rams. But all in all, I’ll probably go 12 and five. I’m gonna price his right at you. Oh, so you gonna go with one game. One over. One game. Mina, she took the over. I’m not even gonna say which one. Okay, we’re not going to make you actually make a decision there, Mina. That’s all good. Adam, what do you think when you look at what Ryan’s chosen here for the defending Super Bowl champs? Well, one and lost marks are always a lot easier to do in midMay than they are during the season when the games start and injuries start happening and circumstances on teams change. But right now, 1112 wins. Ryan Mina, they seem to be right in the range for the Philadelphia Eagles. Interesting in that the team that last year they had to hold off, the Washington Commanders, they don’t meet the Commanders until week 16 and then play the Commanders twice in three weeks to end the season. Who knows what both teams are even going to have on the line at that point in time. Whether or not they will or won’t be alive, whether or not they will or will not have clinched something by then. Lots of questions up in the air. We’ll see how it plays out. That’s a wild way to end the season on both sides, right? The Eagles, by the way, have the fourth hardest schedule in the NFL. All right, RC, how about the defending AFC Champion Chiefs since we’re talking about the teams that were in the Super Bowl. So, here we are. We’re going to do it again and we’re going to see their schedule pop up here and then now your turn once again to be predictor. Go ahead. Hey, well, listen. I got them beating the Chargers week one. We already saw that. I had them beating the Eagles in week two. I got them whipping the Giants on Sunday Night Football. A loss to the Ravens. Okay, now on Monday Night Football, they’re going to beat the Travis Hunter le Jacksonville Jaguars. Ooh, Lions Sunday night. That’s a tricky one. That’s a tricky one. I’m going to go the Kansas City Chiefs. Kansas City Chiefs versus the Raiders again. Now, it’s going to be a L against the Commanders on Monday Night Football. I remember the first time getting a chance to see Jaden Daniels play against the Cincinnati Bengals making big plays. Another loss to the Bills. Then they get a buy. Everybody wins on by week. I have a win against the Broncos. A win against the Colts. I have a win against the Cowboys. A Sunday night loss to the Texans. Yeah, that’s right. I said it. A Sunday night loss to the Texans. They beat the Chargers. They beat the Titans. They’re going to beat the Broncos. And they’re going to rest against the Raiders. So that’ll be another loss. I don’t think that’s right cuz probably 12 and five they won’t be able to rest. So give me beating the Raiders too. They’re going to win 13. The old switcheroo at the end. He changed it. Wow. I did. So much creativity from the social teams across the league. We know Dallas has a tough opener to the season where they’ll take on the Eagles and their banner night. But how about the Cowboys back half of the season? After the Cowboys buy in week 10, you see it there. They go through a gauntlet. Their opponents from week 11 to 17 had a combined 714 winning percentage in 2024. They’re the only team whose opponents have a 600 or better winning percentage in those weeks. It’s really brutal toward the end. Here’s Stephven Jones thoughts on the Cowboys schedule from earlier today. I got some challenges early going on the road uh quite a bit. I think uh five of our first eight are on the road, but uh like you said, we’ve got a spicy schedule at the end when you uh when you say, “Hey, what you compare to last year’s playoff teams?” We have a big run there playing a lot of playoff teams. So spicy. Uh Adam, are you hearing anything out of Dallas on the toughness of the schedule? Well, here’s what spicy means, Laura. From weeks 12 through 17, the Dallas Cowboys will play teams that last year won at least 11 games each. It’s the first time in the history of the National Football League that one team ever will play that many games in a row against teams that won that many games the season before. So, when we tweeted that out this afternoon, Micah Parson saw that and obviously took exception to it and tweeted out right there. I don’t even know how to pronounce that on air. attempt to, but those are the facts. The Dallas Cowboys have a gauntlet of games later in the season against playoff teams last year that won a lot of football games that they’ll have to try to find a way to knock off. Mina, you know how to pronounce what he wrote there. She’s think it looks like an esque, which is a little confusing with the dollar sign. Um, all right. Here’s the thing about the 2025 Dallas Cowboys. Ryan, you can tell me if you agree. I think they have an offense that can put up points on anyone potentially. Um, with the addition of George Pickkins, offensive line, young, improving, run game should be better. Dak Prescott healthy. I think they have a pass rush that can get after anyone. Led of course by that young man there, Micah Parson’s very good pass defense as well. I think if they fall behind against some of those teams, that’s where you get into trouble. Talking about the Eagles, the Lions, Commanders have a good run game as well because I I do not believe this run defense has been resolved. So game script matters a great deal. Complimentary football matters a great deal. This offense has a lot of pressure on them to put up points so that they’re not in that situation because Ryan, that’s where I think they’ll get into trouble down the stretch. Listen, I love the Jones family because they always say something that allows me to think outside of the box. Stephen Jones talked about how spicy this schedule is down the stretch. I don’t know if y’all ever watch that show Hot Ones, right? But in Hot Ones, you start out eating you eat you eat like a hot wing at the beginning and it’s a little hot and they drink a little water. But as it goes along, you start to eat you you start to eat chicken wings that have names like hell pepper, right? Or they have different things like fire mouth wing, right? Or there’s some type of pepper that we ain’t never heard of that they feed to rattlesnakes to kill them in the wild in Australia. Well, that’s exactly what the end of this schedule is, right? When we start seeing actors and entertainers and rappers sweating out of their eyeballs and drinking milk, that’s what this is going to be like. They got six games in less than a month. They’re playing on Sundays and then they’re playing on Christmas, then they’re playing on other Sundays. They are the holiday team. And what they might be is the Christmas ham. They might be the Thanksgiving turkey and they might be getting ate the hell up for the entire end of the season if they haven’t built some sort of repertoire or rapport between this team and chemistry under Brian Shottenheimer. They better start fast cuz the end of the season will be more than spicy if they ain’t right. Yeah, I mean ham and turkey aren’t spicy. So, I like how you made like a little switch there. RC Mina, do you think we should try to do the Hot Wings challenge uh or the Hot Ones challenge here on NFL Live amongst our I think Dan Orowski might actually die on camera if we did that. Like it would actually Yeah, like he has kids and a wife, so we we won’t make him do it. Would be so sweaty if we did that. He would be so absolutely nasty. Let’s not be great on this show, though. Spicy. Anderson have to text and tweet while eating. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]
