Stephen Jones HINTS AT MORE MOVES For Dallas Cowboys!

Okay, now look. I promise y’all I don’t need the clickbait, y’all. I’m going into hibernation just a wee bit in June anyways because your boy gonna need a break. But uh we going to have to keep an eye on this one. And I’m going to do a little bit more snooping to see if we can really figure out if there’s truly any fire to this smoke. But ladies and gentlemen, the Dallas Cowboys may not be done yet as it pertains to improving their roster. And that’s coming directly from the horse’s mouth. And by horse, I mean old ass Steven. And actually, let me chill out. Steven is actually starting to become somewhat of a fan favorite these days. And before you start complaining in the comments [Music] below, man. Shut your up. Y’all can’t tell me people ain’t starting to like Stephven Jones, bro. I saw this clip that the Cowboys had posted. This clip’s actually been circulating all around the internet. But let’s take a listen to this real quick and I’m going just kind of show y’all just the interaction and talk about the engagement that I seen with this just overall and the overall kind of shift in perception with Stephen Jones that I’ve be noticed a little bit. Chat, what y’all got to tell our man? Come on. Who is this? This is all your fans. First of all, Stephen, get off a CD shoulder like that. Second of all, he said, “Who is it?” He said, “This is chat.” I don’t know. It was just some It was just something funny about that interaction to me. I don’t know what it was, man. Hey, appreciate you guys following me, man. How blessed are we to have these four men on our team? Yeah. Stephen and All right, Stephen. I ain’t going to say what it’s sounding like. You going to get me clapped off the internet, but relax. And we got them all running, mates. And we all got a running mates. And And look, he got rid of the They laughing at the chat cuz the chat I think they started spamming Steven like pay Micah and stuff like that. That’s why they laughing at the chat. But that’s actually hilarious, bro. But either way, man, this is pretty funny, man. and and and the interaction that I saw just with the fans and how people kind of responded to Stephven Jones on the stream and just in general the the dialogue that’s been being had about Stephven Jones is he’s kind of been at the forefront of this change and this shift in philosophy for the front office as far as being selectively aggressive and seeing these smart moves being made and and seeing the roster being supplemented properly throughout this off seasonason. Let’s keep it a buck, y’all. the roster has been supplemented properly. Like he just said, he got each and every one of those guys are standing right there running mates. Tyler Smith, he now has TBook. Micah Parson now has Easy. CD Lamb now has Y and Shy. OSA got a big ass check. So they all got running mates this off season and and fans, they’re taking that to account and people are starting to give Stephen a little leeway and they’re like, “Okay, if this is how the Cowboys going to operate, if they’re going to operate with a little bit more sense, then then we can rock with this.” is. And I think that’s a very fair way to do this. I don’t know how many of y’all are in a relationship, but those of you that are are absolutely about to understand what I’m about to say. If your wife don’t normally cook you dinner and then the one time she actually does cook you dinner and you choose to complain about how she doesn’t cook you dinner all them other times, that one time she cooks you dinner, guess what? Her ass ain’t cooking you dinner no more, bro. So you don’t complain to people when they doing the right thing for once. You give them positive reinforcement. You like this the best spaghetti. Yum yums I ever had in my life. This garlic bread, man. Baby, you cook this garlic bread perfect. That’s what you do. Cuz guess what? She going to be like, “Dang, I want them compliments more. Let me go cook him smoked spaghetti yum yums.” That’s what she going to do, man. Stephen, you cooked this garlic bread perfect. Keep cooking this garlic bread, Stephen. All right. A and to that effect, Stephven Jones has kind of made it known that the Cowboys may not exactly be done just yet, y’all. Todd Archer of ESPN is reporting, “The addition of George Pickkins doesn’t mean the Cowboys are done adding personnel.” Stephven Jones said, quote, “I think I’ve said it forever. 365 days a year is player acquisition. Certainly, if we see something that improved our football team, we’d make a move. Guess what that means? That means that if a nose tackle just happens to come available, or a certain veteran quarterback just happens to become available, the because the price comes down via trade for a Jaylen Ramsay or somebody like that, or they get cut due to being a cap casualty. Oh, I don’t know. Maybe someone like a Gyar Alexander or a DJ Reader of the Detroit Lions. And credit to Katie Drummond for writing this article for Cowboys Wire where he kind of brought it to our attention that DJ Reer was someone, he’s a nose tackle, he’s a veteran, he’s someone that is a cap casualty candidate for the Detroit Lions and he’s someone that has had one of the better runs stopping grades in the NFL. He actually boasts a 91st percentile PFF run defense grade over the past three seasons. And the reason that he could become expendable is because for one, he signed a 2-year $22 million contract with the Lions entering 2024. Obviously, one of those years are now gone. The second part to that is the Lions, they’re going to need to start saving a little bit of money here and there because they got to start paying some of these guys coming up. And the team just so happened to address the exact position that this guy plays at two times this off seasonason. And one of them was a heavy investment, which absolutely makes someone like a DJ Reer a potential cap casualty. Okay. The Lions actually signed Roy Lopez, who’s formerly of the Arizona Cardinals to a one-year $4.7 million deal. And then they drafted Ohio State’s Tyreek Williams in this year’s first round. Okay. So, they have three nose tackles over 320 pounds. Maybe they cut one of those guys. Maybe they cut one guy that that maybe they don’t need to pay as much anymore because, hey, let’s throw that rookie into the Let’s get that rookie out there. You know, Dan Campbell, he likes going out guns blazing. He’s going to make a heavy investment into the middle of his defensive line. Get that rookie out on the field. It makes someone like a DJ Reader expendable, and they already went out and signed some veteran depth just in case the dorky needs a blow, right? Someone like a DJ Reer would absolutely be coste effective and selectively aggressive for Stephen Jones and the Dallas Cowboys because he’s someone that hasn’t really gone over three sacks in his entire career. In fact, three sacks was his career high and he just had it last season. So, he’s someone coming off of a somewhat of a peak in his career, but he’s in the latter stages of his career. He’s going into year 10. He’s going to be 31 years old. He’s going to be someone that kind of fits exactly what you would need for the Cowboys. Someone who’s still effective, but someone who’s still cost effective as well, but also fits within the confines of what you’re trying to do with your team. Veteran defensive tackle that can come in and add an extra layer of security behind a Mazy Smith, behind maybe even a Jay Toy. Who knows? Maybe he he’s ahead of Jay Toy on the depth chart. Maybe he’s ahead of Mazy Smith on the depth chart. But let’s say someone like a DJ Reader becomes available. It sounds like to me by what Stephen Jones has said because honestly the biggest thing here is what they haven’t said. And what they haven’t said is they haven’t said we like our guys. We like what we’ve done. We’re satisfied. We’re done. We’re done adding to the roster. We like what we’ve done with everything. Yes, they have given themselves a pat on the back because they realize that they’ve been more active and it feels good to actually do your job for once, don’t it? All right. But but they haven’t said we like our guys. And in fact, they’ve said the opposite. Hey, we’re still open to improving this roster. And I think that they feel would feel a little bit more comfortable if they could at least get a veteran nose tackle in here because honestly that nose tackle position hasn’t truly been addressed yet by the team. Yes, Jay Toy is a promising prospect, but it’s unfair to heap the expectation that he’s going to fix the middle of our defense on a seventh round draft pick. It’s extremely unfair, right? So you bring in a proven veteran, someone that kind of fits within the constructs of of the aging gaps that you have on your team and just the the timeline that your team is on. DJ Reer maybe have a one twoyear kind of deal as he comes in here and shores up the middle of that line while you figure out a more long-term option, but you notice you have someone there that’s effective at doing what you need him to do, which is to be a good run defender in the middle of your defense. And Matt Eberloose absolutely is going to put an emphasis on finding guys who can help him stop the run because he has lauded the fact that he has been able to stop the run wherever he has been. He doesn’t want the Cowboys to be the first stop, the place that needs it the most. He doesn’t want that to be the place where he can’t do that. So I absolutely think and believe, especially after Stephen Jones has kind of laid that hint up out there, I absolutely think the Cowboys are going to be in the market. Maybe not so much so for a veteran corner because if anything, I think they try to see how that position plays out a little bit and give Trevon Diggs a chance to return. Unless they just really don’t believe in Diggs. I don’t know if they bring another veteran corner into that room when they’ve already went out and acquired two guys that are essentially first round graded guys, right? And Kier Elum and Savone Rebel. So, I don’t know if you add a Gier Alexander to that room. Realistically, we already have Deon Bland and Trevon Diggs and those other two young guys. And you know, I don’t know if if they’re going to do that. Being realistic, it would be great in a perfect world if they said screw it. We can have all those alphas. We can have all those potential number one corner type guys in the same room and it’ll work out fine. But I don’t know if they do that. I don’t know if they put that type of investment into that spot unless the price is absolutely right. That’s the only way I could possibly see that happening. But as the nose tackle, a position that if you look on the depth chart is still pretty shallow. Maybe the only actually shallow position remaining on the depth chart. I could see a nose tackle. Hey, maybe a running back. A lot of people seem to not really be super confident in a running back. Go get a guy that like a Nick Chub, someone that’s that’s a discount. I could see them making one of these moves depending on who’s a postjune first cut. So, that’s something we all need to keep an eye on is the upcoming postjune 1st cut deadline. And that’s probably going to be the next source of excitement as it pertains to any type of Dallas Cowboys news um between now and then if we’re being completely honest, unless something happens or somebody say something crazy between now and then. That’ll be the next source of excitement acquisitionwise as far as oh, what’s going to happen? Let’s keep an eye out. So, I like what I heard there. And and again, is Stephen Jones I want to hear from you guys down in the comments below. Is Stephven Jones in the middle of a face turn? Is Is he in the middle of becoming somewhat of a of a hero to the fan base if he continues this type of behavior? Not based off his history, if he continues what he’s done this off season and kind of just being more accessible, it seems, to the players, and kind of showing his lighter side. He’s not showing the the stuffy Steven side as much. He was looser with the guys in that clip we just watched. And I liked it, man. I mean, we got to be real, bro. The these people are human at the end of the day. They rich. They’re real rich humans, but they human. And uh this was it was kind of interesting to me. But either way, [Music] [Music] [Music] appreci listen. I’m [Music] still Hey, I’m still them boys.

  1. Bro first of all, we’re not gonna just gloss over the fact that you named running mates for all of them and said “Osa got a big ass check”.

Osa doesn’t have a running mate and thats the #1 issue thats plagued this team the past 10+ years. Offense was mever a problem for Dallas.

2nd is the “Personnel is a 365 day thing”. Those are empty words that Stephen always uses.

But the thing is we are still waiting for that “2nd substantive trade”! So hopefully it’s Reader!!!

  2. We actually don't need him to be a sack threat. With the outside being dominant the pass rush is going to be awesome! just stop the run please. Our corners are really good. The outside is " DE" IS VICIOUS! Stop the RUN Focus!

  3. Dude, stop it. Stephen Jones is the reason the philosophy changed to begin with.Jerry was always the Wheeler dealer in Dallas. He gave stephen more control and you got what you got

  4. They need to add a DT and a CB before the season starts and Im not sure how they will do that when other teams are NOT going to cut their best DT and best CB during the June 1st cuts.

  5. If they bring in Reader from Detroit and disgruntled Trey Hendrickson from Cincinnati ima lose my shyt!!!!!
Lets Goooooo!!! Double Micah the rest will eat, Double Hendrickson Micah and others gon' eat!

  6. I like what you do bro, as far as reporting on the Cowboys but stop it with the insinuating all you doing is jinksing The Dallas Cowboys. That's why the hater's get to label us delusional fans . Just be patient and let shit flow normal and I see you get excited when you hear about the Cowboys and that's cool but don't worry I know. All these coaching changes I'm going to benefit us, you'll see bro!!!!

  7. I think once they seen the Eagles & Commanders in the NFC Championship they put 🔥 under their asses! Especially with it being Dan Quinn first year as head coach
