But let’s get to this one between the San Francisco Giants and the Athletics. The San Francisco Giants sending out Landon RP for the start in this one. While the Athletics will counter with Luis Severino and Severino got absolutely rocked in his last two starts. Uh the most recent one he faced his former team, faced the Yankees, gave up eight runs on nine hits over four innings of work. Only had two strikeouts and two walks. It was just a lot of base hits that he gave up. And uh unfortunately Severino got crushed in that game as it ended up being a 12-2 win for the Yankees in that series finale. Um, but the thing about Severino is that the majority of his starts have come at Sutter Health Park. Obviously, that’s the that ballpark in Sacramento where the A’s are playing, you know, this year. And, you know, at home this season, Severina has been hit hard. A 271 opponent’s batting average, a 6.75 RA, an 0 and4 record across six starts. And I mean, if you just look at like the the team record for um for the athletics in those games, you know, at home, they’re only two and four at home in the wins came against Chicago and Seattle. And even then, you know, Seina still got hit hard against Seattle. It was just that the offense was able to pick him up and get to Seattle’s bullpen. But I don’t think it’s going to be as much of an issue here. Now, sure, the Giants are a solid team. You know, look at their numbers against righties in the last two weeks. They are above league average just outside the top 10 in batting average. The team OPS is solid, you know, just above league average. You know, the uh the isolated power numbers could stand to be better. They’re bottom 10. The Babip is pretty good though, just outside the top 10 as well. So, not necessarily driving the ball for a lot of power, but I think they’re still doing damage. The problem is is that I think like I said, Severino struggles in that hitter friendly ballpark in Sacramento, but Oracle can be very pitcher friendly and I think that you know, Severino could have a good enough start here and I think the Athletics back him up here against Landon RP who has been hitable. Uh in his last four starts, he’s given up a combined 16 runs and 14 of those were earned. You know, he’s only had four strikeouts or less in each of his last four starts. He’s given up a home run in three straight starts. in five of his last six still has a 4.95 erra through 40 innings so far this season and the athletics in the last two weeks against righties solid numbers 276 batting average the team OPS numbers are top 10 isolated power numbers are top 10 the babb is is top 10 and they have 17.9% strikeout rate which is tied for third lowest in baseball so I think that the athletics can get to rope here I think the only concern for me with the athletics is that they do have a league high 12.9 93 bullpen erra. So Severino’s got to eat up some innings here and make sure that he avoids uh handing it over to the bullpen. But I think that if as long as he can, you know, hand it over, I think the Athletics bats can do enough to uh stakes, you know, bit of a lead to to get the win here. So give me the Athletics in this one on the money line and that’s going to be my free pick.
