Mets vs Yankees (5/16/25) | Mets Highlights

At Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
New York. Welcome to this presentation of the York Mets.
Baseball on PIX11 tonight the Mets. Play, the New York
Yankees, One, two, broken bat, grounder up, the
middle, little boy gets to it. The spinning throw not in time
and gets away for The Lawns or battle allowed judge. The store
all the way from second at the other Runners advance to
second and third, and it’s too
much. The Yankees. 32 wind the other way past the
glove of Palazzo down the left field line Soto around third
heads to the plate, the throw to the plate back
Bellinger dotted time, solo slience home of the first met
run of the night, pulls it, down the third, Pastor

to score and the Yankees again. Have a four-run lead. It’s 5 to
1:00. And a ground ball. The second

bank is just too fast. Now, six to one. Again, the one to slap the other way, that’s going
to be a basic from that door. Alvarez, comes around
third, he’ll score. Big deal will go to Third and ligurian
standing at second base with an opposite field. Double so, do flies, one out to center.
It should be easy for Grisham and the Yankees have taken six to two.

It was a rough night for Mets starter Tylor Megill who allowed four earned runs, walking five while failing to get out of the third inning in a 6-2 loss to the Yankees. Offensively, the Mets weren’t much better, mustering just five hits and two runs off Carlos Rodon and the Yankees bullpen. Juan Soto made his return to Yankee Stadium and was soundly booed throughout the night.

  1. This offense can't be that inconsistent. Oh my God! This team, despite being in first place with a good record, looks like an average team. Last year, at least it was more exciting with the "OMGs" and the "Miracle Mets," but that vibe and chemistry are gone. They don't even come back like last year; they just sometimes seem lost and lack the hunger to win.

By the way, we should be worried about Alonso, who has been terrible since the first game of the series in Arizona. I always knew he would fall apart sooner or later, as his new focus on discipline seems forced, and it was only a matter of time before he returned to his 2024 form. He could only maintain that focus for so long and had strangely good results, but now it seems he's run out of steam.

And the fraud Soto should have stayed with the Yankees because he seems to enjoy it more than with us.

  2. Well, when your offense is in a funk & you're not playing the Pirates, this is the expected result. I don't know if the bats will suddenly wake up tomorrow, but this had to be one of the more embarrassing losses of the season….
