  1. And have them move to SF to become the San Francisco Athletics? No thank you.

  2. And Larry Baer is caught on film shoving his wife to the ground in public . . . If he does that in public, just think of what he does in the privacy of his home.

    I see you Larry. FLB

  3. They voted yes to approve the move like every other team, which makes them equally bad. I am not upset about the Giants blocking an earlier move.

  4. I get it. But also the San Jose A’s are not the Oakland A’s and it kind of is Oakland or bust. I could have kind of accepted Fremont as it’s still the east bay. But SJ, Vegas… It’s basically the same thing to me. I’m an Oakland fan.

  5. Giants played thier role. How can any Oakland fan remain a fan of this league?

  6. All the owners are pure evil. I’m done with MLB after 54 years of fandom.

  7. Never forget the city of Oakland was the one who ultimately lost 3 pro sports teams in 5 years

  8. Sigh. The A’s had YEARS to claim that territory back free of charge, and just never bothered to. Then both teams were sold, and those land rights were added (which was approved by the league) to the value of the Giants sale price.

Like, I get it. The Giants weren’t exactly friendly to the A’s a lot of the time. But this idea that the whole land rights issue was some huge “betrayal” by them has gotta stop. It was as much the A’s screwing up as it was anything else. And the league approving those dumb moves every step of the way.

I get it. F the Giants. But this whole talk is just sad. Oakland lost their team because their dumb, greedy owner. Full stop.

  9. Exactly right! Wolffe & Fisher both fought hard to keep the team in the Bay Area

But Selig was in bed with the then Giants owner & he was primarily responsible for not letting the A’s move to SJ. A large portion of the Giants fan basis from the South Bay and they didn’t want to share it…they convinced Selig to say no to the A’s. The city of San Jose was fully on board and ready to build a brand new stadium

No fan of Fisher’s but there’s a significant back-story to this whole debacle

Selig & Manfred both big parts of the problems & favoritism in MLB

  10. What do you expect from a place that has a mobile hot chocolate vendor (super pretentious is what I’m getting at).
