NHL Game 7 Highlights | Panthers vs. Maple Leafs – May 18, 2025

Matthews line against the bar line. Tonight’s starting lineups brought to you by Diamond and Diamond Lawyers, Canada’s largest personal injury law firm. Kach trying to sift it through a whack at it. Knocked back to Kachchuck. Here’s Dhagi. Stopped by Wall. Loose in front underneath. Save by Wall with traffic in front. And here’s where the battles have happened in the early going here. Chris is right around the net for stays with the puck. Knander up high along the line to the net. Roll through. Knander. Oh, Babroski with a big stop on the Leaf’s first shot of the night. Blue line able to straddle the blue line. Watch this thing go through a stick. goes to escape right back to him for Broski. Here’s Bobby and Peretti loose on the right side. Pacheretti behind the net back goes to Tan Evan McCain. His shot knocked out in front. McMahon Pati stopped there by Babski. Here’s a couple of good chances that start from behind the net. Pat Reddi gets it and then gets to the front. The rebound right there and Pat Reddi actually got a piece of it. Babroski, look at his Riley get it out to center. Big play trying to break it up and now it’s a break. Scott Lton’s in. Why that stop? Babroski’s got another and suddenly the Leafs just a great job of reading it off the wall. Lton in tight. Tried to get it up and over but Babroski he moves so well laterally able to get the toe on it. There’s Doy kicking it back. Brandon Carlo a shot turned aside working right in front. Bobby McMahon stopped by Scroski. And here’s where you can get something out of it. Great job of DOI. Then get it to the front of the net. Doesn’t get the first time, but the second time’s a charm. But there’s Babski again. That that lower part of the net. There’s Borsling dashing in. The only Florida defenseman without a goal so far check. But a nice outlet for go. Steven Lorettz and Mrski has the answer against his old Chris Tanv. Watch this battle here. Takes the body. He has a good active stick, gets pressured, outlet pass, comes right back to him. Secondary outlet pass and then Lton right up through the gut and Morren goes for that quick shot trying to go under the arm it looked like of Babroski. Kind of got it mid zone maybe trying to go. He has a power play goal in this series. Barov down low. Kachchuck gives it back to the captain up high shot. Rebound L still down and it will come back to the line. Jones again stopped. Rebound fouled and cleared in to game number seven tonight. Chris always thought the job was to get in the way. He did that the opening period. They did change the shots. Trying to get it back to Marner. Knocked down but Carlo with the shot off Niser Mikola in front. Up ahead, Rodriguez gets it across. Seth Jones walked in, scores. Seth Jones breaks the ice. 315 into the second period. Oh, just a pinch in the neutral zone. And you can see Carlo just trying to figure out what’s the play in the neutral zone. Morgan Riley, you kind of get caught in no man’s land. When you pinch right here, you’ve got to get pucker body instead. Now Carlo backs off instead of pressuring Jones. And this is Jones taking a look at the pass. Then he focuses on the goalender and a quick little wister up and over the shoulder. Boy, a wellplaced shot off the bar. Pass isn’t there. No pressure is coming in traffic in front of Tulikov away for Panthers through center onto this left side. Lindell short side off the side of the net takes it away. Wall was shoved into the net. An outlet to do. And here’s Ekan Larson ahead to Knander. Here’s William Knander and Babroski stops that ship. Sends it in on Babroski. Lays it up ahead for Lendell. Brad Marian in again. Put that on goal. A rebound left out in front. Marian around for Mika. Back to Marian. That one off in front. Scores Anton Landell. And Florida leads by two. talked about all the traffic in front of the Leaf’s net. A couple of chances to clear it. Carlo can’t get it. You got loose terrain in front and it looked like it hit a high stick but off the pad of Wall and then right on the doorstep for Anton Lundell. See the deflection there. Hard to control that rebound. McCabe trying desperately to get through the bodies to get there. And Lundell works it loose for Tvaris. Here’s John Javar starting out off the boards up ahead, but that’s dripped off by Jones. Seth Jones for Greer. Kicked away. Rebounds in front. Scores. Jonah Gajivic. Three nothing Panthers. Tight play right here. Tavarus does a good job of shaking off the pressure, but then a pinch. Jones takes it in. A little drop back. Good first save there by Joseph Wall. And then on the doorstep, Gajivich with his second. Watch Jones here. He doesn’t touch the puck. It’s a close call at the line to be offside or not. But it’s a shot back for Gajivich. And it goes through. And just like that, it’s a three nothing. Can’t reach it. And it’s fired high by Verhigi. That Glad sends it back in against Pati in front. Wall across. And that’s a tough stop by Wall. They jam away at the side of the net. Riley at center. Warner tried to redirect that but broke it up and back in comes Jones to the net. Scores. Seth Jones. And they’re going to wave that off. But it looked like he had his second of the second. Another turnover in the neutral zone. Marner unable to make the chip. Good aggressive play. the backhand shot and then off his skates and in the has highlighted the hard work. They’ve had the best chances. They’ve had the most energy and you know he’s just asking them give us something. Give us some energy here early on. Watch there by Michel to the line. Ben cross Carlo trying to get it to the net. Fronted by Reinhardt up ahead Jones. Florida works it out. Bobby McMahon quickly they caught him with a change. Doby in scores. Well, watch this. Just a bad change here by Florida. Eric pass gets turned over instead of deep. A lazy change and a quick up. And this is exactly what you try to do. A little bit of a pick there by Knander to allow Doy an extra second to get this shot away. Much like the Matthews shot in game six through the legs of Babroski and a guy who back the other way over the line and dumped by Marian across the front of the net. Lell after it. Marad there with Marina scores a tip in front and Marian got another point against the Leafs in the playoff and just an absolute killer goal. any kind of life that you started to have just gets sucked out with that on a forche. Marian feels the pressure throws across breeze. Heck Larson gets blown up there by Lewis Scarain and then Marian throw it to the net and this is one that Joseph Wall’s got to have. It’s a tip from a bad angle. Sneaks by the blocker against the post and you can see by the reaction of Wall got fooled, wasn’t tight, wasn’t ready for it and Lisa Rainan has just quieted this crowd. And Chris, it’s not like they sit back and defend. I think that’s probably the most evident thing of this game is they continue to be aggressive. Scores. And they continue to score. Oh boy. Sam Reinhardt. And it’s a fourgoal lead with just over 10 minutes to go. And pass McCabe. Tvaris not able to get that bark off. And it’s just the speed of Reinhardt. two quick strides at the end. He has been terrific and that first goal was so critical. There’s McKay but a glove stopped by Babroski and Jones centered in front that’s picked off and the Leafs will counter. Jones was trapped. Lorent to Len back to Lorent and that’s turned aside. A right pad stopped. We’re down to five minutes left here in the third. 5-1 Florida. The defending champions getting set for another trip to the Eastern Conference final. Matthew stopped by Babski. Y goes after it. Patretti arrives. Eman Larson tried to keep it in. Marian and Brad Marian his 150th point and another goal in game seven against Toronto. Maren, quick little spin around. You know, the Leafs, they, as Elliot said at the beginning, have jumped over so many hurdles. Three more for Florida. Convincing 6-1 lead win and the defending Stanley Stanley Cup champions move on to the Eastern Conference final. And the song remains the same here in Toronto.

Brad Marchand had three points, notching his 150th career playoff point, Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 19 of the 20 shots he faced, and the Florida Panthers dominated the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-1 in Game 7 to advance to the Eastern Conference Final.

  1. How is Toronto ok with paying 4 players to do nothing in the post season? I do not get it, do you guys need to fail a 9th time for it to sink in? Holey crap guys, this is your sign.

  2. Like the recent election, the dream lasted a few weeks and now reality has hit home. The only team remaining is from a place that wants to leave Canada, the sinking ship.

  3. I would have played Stolarz in game 7. If he was good enough to be a backup, he is good enough to start. Only hope was a shutout and a 1:0 win. I don't even want to comment on the lack of heart in the overpaid players.

  4. What a great game by Auston and Mitch. It's always heartwarming to see beer league players getting to play with professionals. Auston even managed to score a goal in this series! Just one more and he'll match Jonah Gadjovich.

  5. Give these guys a break. Wasn't as bad as it looked.

If they had scored on 30% of their shots, they could've forced OT.
