It is a logical and intelligent and, certainly, well-deserved next step for the Philadelphia Eagles and Head Coach Nick Sirianni: The team on Monday announced that it has signed Sirianni to a multi-year contract extension, keeping in place the continuity that has helped make the franchise so incredibly successful.
“As an organization, we have always strived to create a championship culture of sustained success,” said Philadelphia Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie. “Nothing is more important to fostering such an environment than having tremendous leadership. Nick has embodied everything we were looking for in a head coach since we hired him four years ago. His authentic style of leadership, football intelligence, passion for the game, and growth mindset have helped to bring out the best in our team. I am excited for what the future holds for the Philadelphia Eagles.”
Sirianni, hired prior to the 2021 season, has had an unprecedented run in his four seasons as head coach. The Eagles have reached the postseason in all four years with two Super Bowl appearances and a World Championship. He has been adaptable, forward-thinking, passionate, and culture-building in his time in Philadelphia.
Along with Executive Vice President/General Manager Howie Roseman, Siranni has in place a team with a roster that has great talent, enthusiasm, and drive. Roseman and Sirianni are clearly in lockstep as they prepare for 2025 and beyond.
The defining principles for Sirianni, the daily message that he delivers every day to his players – tough, detailed, and together – is something the Eagles lived by last season and will again in 2025 and beyond. The record of success over the last four seasons has been staggering.
