Tony Phillips was an amazing players for the Oakland A’s during the 80s, was huge for our championship run in 1989, and he came back and finished his career here in 1999. The ultimate Swiss Army knife, Tony played every position he was needed, and it changed every year.

I loved emulating Tony Phillips batting stance in little league. I was pretty excited when he decided to close out his career in the green and gold.
