Is Dallas now the prohibitive Stanley Cup favorite? Dallas Stars are most people’s favorite now to win the Stanley Cup. There are so many things that can go either right or wrong and all of them are absolutely amplified and magnified. We battle through an 82 game season and travel and grind and it’s all for this opportunity to be one of these 16 teams to to go on this journey and and hopefully win a Stanley Cup. Colorado wants to inject it all. Inject all the energy, inject all the life. The the biggest storyline of this is going to be Mico Ranton. And it’s uh it’s business. People get moved and traded and then it’s business when you play against other teams, you know. So, it’s just another playoff round for me. in I mean there is the opportunity here to make this a really memorable year in the playoffs. Welcome back everyone to the greatest tournament in sports. A twomon heartstoppping race toward hockey immortality. The wait is over. Puck is dropped. Game one is underway. You finish every every hit and you try to give a lick to somebody. Yeah, that’s playoff hockey. Len and shot stopped by Anger. Rebound in the net. scored. And I think whoever loses that series, that team lost a Stanley Cup final in the first round. And it’s Colorado who draws first blood in this best of seven series. One time. Okay, here we go. Lots of communication. Let’s make sure we get into this mixture as quickly as possible. Hey, these guys, the hockey world, everyone’s writing us off, okay? giving too much respect to the guys who aren’t in this room and not enough respect to the guys who aren’t sitting in this room. Let’s show guys what this is all about. Let’s go. Come on. You play against certain teams a lot, you know, against Colorado. You dislike some guys and uh on the ice and when the game starts and and it’s all business for sure. Right circle scores. Stays with it. shoots. He scores. Horley. Dallas leads. If you look at any team that goes on a deep run, they’ve won all kinds of different ways. And he’s on it again. He scores. He scores. Colin Blackwell wins it. This series is tied. I have belief in this group that we can we can beat anybody for sure. We’re going to play good teams, but we’re a good team also. and and uh this team has shown it all year. We’re built for this. We’re built for this. Get the job done. They better rip their hearts out and win this game. Early shot. Redirection. Score. Jamie Ben. We just played them last year in the playoffs. I think you add the rant in factor to it. You got star power on both sides. I I think it’s the best hockey of the year. Obviously, there’s nothing better. Laid it ahead. Marchman turning it off the wing. Mason Marchman on the forehand. Pass, shot, score, score. Tyler Sean win. That’s a gutsy win. Goalender a couple huge saves. Otter, great job down the stretch. The PK PK Wendy block shot, wide open net. You know, it’s everybody. But you know what? We deserve that win. We deserve that win. Okay, we’re the better team in the series. They know it. We know it. Stars are out of sorts. They They don’t take away middle ice. He just freestyles his way into Dallas ice. 4 nothing shellacking of the Stars here tonight. It’s one game. All they did was level the series, not win the series. It’s all about your response in a playoff series like this. So, I think we know we can play better and we have to play better. This is a really good team. They might bend a little bit more than the other side, but from, you know, some good tidy defending in their own zone, man, they they are a wicked crew offensively when they get chances. This team has been close last two years. You know, I think there’s hunger to win it all. You know, I think the way guys talk and and in the locker room, the chatter from the from the coaches and and the players are leading the way as well. So you don’t get too many chances like this. You got to make most of it. Wyatt Johnston 9 seconds in. Welcome to Dallas indeed. What a confusing start to game five. There’s not going to be a lot of room. There’s no easy opponents. And when you put these teams all on paper, there’s very little separation in talent. It’s going to come down to to all those other intangibles. Hits with Rantin. fed there. Score. Mo rant it in against Colorado. Hell of an effort. Hell of an effort by everyone in here. And and the lesson in that dump pucks in, didn’t turn it over. Got lots of offense off it. Defending and blocking shots really well. The overtime games. Their power player special teams have stolen them a game. Their goalie has stolen them some games. And onto the ice here at Ball Arena. The sound from outs faithful is absolutely definite. Caves reloads back door nature scores. It was like a bang bang play. You know you’re going to play the team six, seven times in a row. And the opening round between two of the best in the NHL will go the distance. Game seven Saturday back in Dallas. You know, we’ve been in this situation before. No one gives us a chance to win this series and you know here we are and with one game at home to uh to advance. There are no stats that you even look at. It’s just how do you get four wins? For one, it’s the end of the line. For the other just the beginning of this playoff run, one game for the right to advance. Welcome to game seven between Dallas and Colorado. We found a way to win a lot of games uh even with key people out of the lineup different ways. I thought we battled through that adversity. I don’t believe there’s another group in the league that would still be alive here other than this one with what’s been thrown at us here in the playoffs so far. Okay. I also know we haven’t played our best game yet. We’ve saved it for tonight cuz that’s what great teams do. Played by Okconor who has the only short-handed goal in this series. He setters one. They score short-handed towards the net and he scores. Nate McKinnon on the six on five. 31 seconds into the third period to try to win the series in one game. And that’s what you dream of when you’re a child to be in those positions. And a little butterflies for sure before the game, but mostly excitement to be in those positions. Every little inch matters a little bit more. Here you go, boys. Save it as the Stars now. Ranton in shot score. Mo Ranton in gets Dallas on the board and right back into game seven and just a searing wrist shot. That’s it. Rantin in with speed. Rebs. He scores. Mo Rantin. Game seven is tied. Does he want this tonight or what? Incredible. You couldn’t in your wildest dreams. We still got one. Hey, we still got one here. Duchain across. Score. Ryan Johnston. Let’s go line in. And that kid in a game seven is as lethal as a nutmeg injection. The hat’s laid down and the stars will move on. You could not write this any better. It’s a handshake. You want to go first or last?
